25/4/2009 17:46 | I wonder if someone is taking Octopus' shares and building a stake ready for a takeover ? Cant see why the share price would rise so strongly otherwise. | cfro
24/4/2009 19:32 | Yep, I know. But EDD start paying a full tax rate next year so eps will actually struggle to rise even if profits are a lot higher so I just thought many might not realise that - hence decided this was a place to take a bit from. Did it too early but can't chase everything and hold everything I guess. Still got a quarter left anyway :-) :-( CR | cockneyrebel
24/4/2009 16:09 | Just returned after a day playing golf, and logged in to find EED finnished up 16p at 85p or +24%. These are by far my largest holding, I had 84p as a target to sell a small amount, but will now revise this upwards. Should see some broker upgrades again. | interceptor2
24/4/2009 13:32 | Should we be buying more I wonder... | johnthespacer
24/4/2009 12:20 | Well got caught out - sold three quarters of these a little while back to chase other stocks that were flying with the money. There's a lesson there - tho I guess I've done as well with the dosh elsewhere still anyway. Tempted to buy back this am but I bet if I do that will be the level where Octopus starts selling again. Nice move tho, even if I have only got a quarter of what I had :-( CR | cockneyrebel
24/4/2009 11:49 | Stegrego - Agree totally. Nothing to stop this going way over a quid now. A good piece in the weekend press ought to do the trick. | cfro
24/4/2009 11:40 | My target was around 90, but i think a quid + ought to be possible now... | stegrego
24/4/2009 10:10 | Your not alone guys, I've been in since March. Crackin' chart. | chester
24/4/2009 08:37 | No Melody I am also interested. I bought in January so have now doubled my money. Easily my best share so far this year. I'll certainly hang on until the interims. | cornishman33
24/4/2009 08:15 | Hi Interceptor - and the other good news is that only you and I are interested enough to post on interims like this when the share price goes up 15%! Plenty of room for the rest of the world to jump on board and take the share price higher! | melody9999
24/4/2009 06:40 | See todays trading statement below, I couldn't have hoped for more. Trading At the Group's Annual General Meeting on 22 January 2009 it was reported that first quarter performance had significantly exceeded expectations. The Board of EDI notes that this trend has been maintained over the past three months. As a result, the Group's interim report is expected to record high levels of year-on-year growth in both revenue and profit. Because of this the Board believes that the results for the year will be ahead of current market forecasts. EDI's interim report will be published at 7.00 am on Tuesday, 2 June. | interceptor2
23/4/2009 19:05 | Noticed that the last two purchases were at 69.95p right at the top of the spread, another day of investors buying in tomorrow, will see the share price break 70p. | interceptor2
23/4/2009 17:47 | Nice tick up today......and topped up with a few more. Reckon a big buyer is in the background if you ask me. | cfro
23/4/2009 09:53 | More steady buying this morning and the share price is up 2.5p to 69p, it shouldn't take much more buying to break 70p. I suspected the mm's were light of stock yesterday, and I think todays move has confirmed this. | interceptor2
23/4/2009 09:41 | chart here looking good if it breaks 70p. | miked500
22/4/2009 19:08 | It's just taking a rest, not surprising after the recent rise. But looking at the strong buying today, it looks like there is still strong support at this level. | interceptor2
21/4/2009 21:37 | Have we ran out of steam now?? dont think so but a quiet spell cant do any harm... | johnthespacer
06/4/2009 20:21 | i'm in here this morning too | melody9999
06/4/2009 12:49 | Octopus still hold 3.83m shares after selling 1.01m last week. mms should be pleased, because they might have been light of shares before with so much recent buying. | interceptor2
06/4/2009 11:07 | What a chart !! | chester
06/4/2009 11:06 | 63.25p trendline support and Feb 26th HIGH. Todays low = 63.25p. Topped up this morning. | chester
01/4/2009 12:29 | Octopus been selling it seems, they have a few followers, might be why it's slowed up here. CR | cockneyrebel
31/3/2009 05:31 | mentioned in The Scotsman today | serotine
30/3/2009 18:12 | It all depends how you define the market: This is taken from a learning provider site; EDI is a one of the largest accredited awarding bodies in the UK vocational sector. It's part of the National Qualifications Framework. EDI qualifications recognise your ability to gain a good knowledge and understanding of a subject area, while being able to perform varied tasks with some guidance and supervision.
