The Syngenta / Eden project development lead researcher posts about a visitor at Syngenta's Jealott's Hill centre.

Rob Lind

Syngenta Fellow Computer Vision R&D

Great to host Professor John Doonan (Aberystwyth University) this week at Jealott's Hill to exchange ideas on Digital Plant Phenotyping. John, like myself, has witnessed the transformation of this technology with the advent of Deep Learning approaches to understand plant phenotypes from digital imagery as they grow and mature.

The Greater Fools
Western elites can be bought, and Chinese communists are limit long.

“For greed, all nature is too little.” – Lucius Annaeus Seneca

On January 28, 2020, the chemistry world was rocked by an epic bombshell. Professor Charles Lieber, Chair of Harvard University’s Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology, was arrested and charged with making false statements to US federal government investigators. Lieber was considered among the best chemists of his generation and a virtual shoo-in for an eventual Nobel Prize. He had received millions in funding from the highest levels of the US government, including the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, the Office of Naval Research, and the Air Force Office of Scientific Research. He was also secretly on the dole of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP):

I come here and visit so as to remind myself that human intelligence is in retrograde.

On the face of it, this company is an obvious FAIL, no ROCE for thirty years, no prospect of any dividend ever, etc., just a personal lifestyle company for the troughers who "run" it and apparently pay for peedorampers like tricky.

The only redeeming point could be, if the ""investors"" (haha) had good reason to implicitly trust the judgement of the Board.

Right?

BUT BUT BUT the judgement of this same Board is NOT to put another penny of their own money into this stock!

And these monkeybrained sh!tstains here on this DB can't see it!

Where at least one of the PIs, must be the dopiest and most debased of them all, one way or tother benefically holds twenty times more stock than all those best-placed to truly assess company prospects (ie said Directors) the only question remaining is were these TRUE BELIEVERS as stooooooooooopid as this at the time they burnt their £££ to buy this toiletpaperstock, or has holding on to it all the while that little voice in them must be screaming GET OUT NOW! exacerbated their mental problems and deficiencies?

What say, kitty_sliced?

Questions??

Would it make sense commercially and Seed-World PR wise and prior to full authorization for Eden and Corteva to get a 2024 EUA for Sunflower seeds as well as or rather than another for Maize?

Or an EUA for all three other seed types prior to full authorisation??

Glyphosate presence in human sperm: First report and positive correlation with oxidative stress in an infertile French population.

Highlights

Glyphosate (GLY) but not AMPA is detected in human sperm.

GLY concentration is four times higher in human plasma seminal than in blood plasma.

A positive correlation exists between plasma blood and seminal glyphosate and 8-OHdG.

TOS, OSI and MDA blood and seminal plasma concentrations are higher in men with GLY.

TAS in both blood and seminal plasma is similar in men with or without GLY.

Abstract
Environmental exposure to endocrine disruptors, such as pesticides, could contribute to a decline of human fertility. Glyphosate (GLY) is the main component of Glyphosate Based Herbicides (GBHs), which are the most commonly herbicides used in the world. Various animal model studies demonstrated its reprotoxicity. In Europe, GLY authorization in agriculture has been extended until 2034. Meanwhile the toxicity of GLY in humans is still in debate. The aims of our study were firstly to analyse the concentration of GLY and its main metabolite, amino-methyl-phosphonic acid (AMPA) by LC/MS-MS in the seminal and blood plasma in an infertile French men population (n=128). We secondly determined Total Antioxidant Status (TAS) and Total Oxidant Status (TOS) using commercial colorimetric kits and some oxidative stress biomarkers including malondialdehyde (MDA) and 8-hydroxy-2′-deoxyguanosine (8-OHdG) by ELISA assays. We next analysed potential correlations between GLY and oxidative stress biomarkers concentration and sperm parameters (sperm concentration, progressive speed, anormal forms). Here, we detected for the first time GLY in the human seminal plasma in significant proportions and we showed that its concentration was four times higher than those observed in blood plasma. At the opposite, AMPA was undetectable. We also observed a strong positive correlation between plasma blood GLY concentrations and plasma seminal GLY and 8-OHdG concentrations, the latter reflecting DNA impact. In addition, TOS, Oxidative Stress Index (OSI) (TOS/TAS), MDA blood and seminal plasma concentrations were significantly higher in men with glyphosate in blood and seminal plasma, respectively. Taken together, our results suggest a negative impact of GLY on the human reproductive health and possibly on his progeny. A precaution principle should be applied at the time of the actual discussion of GLY and GBHs formulants uses in Europe by the authorities.

Eden's target market share targets are bizarre

Do you remember Eden sating for the insecticide that it is generally accepted that a market share of 5-10% is what is expected?

Source:

When Eden's natural chemistry performs equal or better than conventional chemistry it makes a mockery of those % targets, doesn't it?

I imagine the potential numbers in management's opinion are possibly greater than the numbers you mention yourself. Let's hope so!

Super,
I am sure Eden is doing lots that is not in the public domain.
I am sure they are working on rice.
After years of having to write sales are not markedly ahead of projections due to weather etc, Sean is keen to under promise and over deliver.
While wanting to dampen excitable numbers from the likes of me, they have nevertheless, gone for a 90% jump in product sales this year.
I expect both Sean and Cavendish want to see that delivered before putting out numbers for 2025.
Eden remains at an early stage of regulatory approvals and is dependent upon Sipcam, Corteva and Eastman to deliver on distribution. While I am confident Sipcam and Corteva are aggressive at marketing, the jury is out on Eastman.

Clearly Sean wants to keep a lot close to his chest - but we are most definitely on the move.

There could be a marked change in market sentiment before then end of 2024, if we are able to state our actual trading will beat market estimates and that we deliver a positive EBITDA figure.

Atty,

You got to the End without mentioning Syngenta..so I did it for you..

The Abrey figures you reference imo are constrained and limited.. not only by the years of inthecoming both Abrey and Smith have curated but also likely is that Cavendish have wisely advocated a cautious posture.

Both broker and company imo hugely underplay the currently undisclosed Syngenta deal which I'm confident is just one of many big names that we will hear about inthecoming which means imo the numbers on the boards are pretty much wild guesses at this stage.

I like this Enterprise for various reasons . The main reason is like many here I want the share price up for personal gain that's for sure. So I like it because on balance I'm pretty sure that will ensue. But also look what it is and what it's not. And it has features, good ones. that lift it above othet companies on AIM. ( Every company on AIM needs extra sparkle at the moment ).So, EDEN.It's not damaging. It's not about mining for barbaric relics It is helpful to a big group called farmers .It's not either or when it comes to the adjective Organic. It encapsulates - hee - conventional and current and the emerging. It's not bound up in the fossil fuel issues. It's passed testsIt's not military Yes it's got a gating factor called regulation but it's passed crucial scrutiny in that regardIt's not about warOr Religion I can't think of any negatives . Ah it does need time for others to get the inevitability of all this . Back to the Share PriceWe have sufficient cash to be funded until profit. I still don't know about margins but someone here way back thought 40 per cent wasn't a push . The main flows will be joined by an other main flow - insecticide - then another and by smaller tributaries . Sustaine Natural Eden what's not to like?
