#0X3F - S32 24.07.2023 - Q2-2023 Key highlights:

9% increase in Group copper equivalent production in the June 2023 quarter
14% increase in aluminium production in FY23
17% increase in base metals production in FY23
Annual production records set by Hillside Aluminium, Australia Manganese and South Africa Manganese

Alongside today's report, we've also announced that we will record a non-cash impairment expense for our Taylor deposit in our FY23 financial results, reflecting delays from the impact of COVID-19, significant de-watering requirements and current inflationary market conditions.

The impairment expense will be excluded from FY23 Underlying earnings, in accordance with our accounting policies, business are normal as I see it with no impact to other producing operations..

I'm reading about S32 impairments this morning, wondering if there'll be knock on effects on ECORA should they be looking to raise cash. Anyone any thoughts?

On one hand they could be looking to sell off more of their royalties or alternately sell off their ECORA shares.

The royalty over the open pit operations steps up by 0.1% in the event that production is delayed beyond 30 June 2030.

If production is delayed beyond 30 June 2031, Los Andes has the right to elect between awarding Ecora an incremental 0.1% NSR entitlement or making a cash payment of USD15M to Ecora with an additional USD5M if the trailing 6-month copper price averages more than $5/lb.
If production is delayed beyond 30 June 2032, then Los Andes has the right to again choose between awarding Ecora a further incremental 0.1% NSR entitlement or making a cash payment of USD15M to Ecora with an additional USD5M if the trailing 6-month copper price averages more than $5/lb.

Excellent negotiated terms, if the project is delayed we get the royalty for free, and they pay us with cash or raising the NSR.. :o)

You forgot to mention that BKY has CRASHED 30% this morning.

On news that political results for hitherto ruling PSE are in a much stronger position than had been forecast. And PSE's views on uranium are well-known.

Looks unlikely that much touted PP will be in a position to form a majority - even with far-right Vox.

Political chaos for the foreseeable future.

ALL IMO. DYOR.

Very nice too, double the return of our Incoa royalty, USD20M for USD2-3M per year, building a portfolio takes decades, and every single 1 of them count.. :o)

After funding the Anglo Pacific Tranche 2 Commitment, the Company anticipates receiving average annual cashflow of approximately USD1.75 - 2.0 million over the first 10 years, and approximately USD2.75 - 3.0 million per annum longer term over the life of the project (in real terms)

All eyes on BKY today post election results and see if the PP can cobble together a coalition, or it goes to another election at year end, potentially helping permitting for Salamanca..

Will agree to disagree. I'll take $5m p/a for 5/6 decades (at least I suspect), for a $20m outlay.

0.25% of 183ktpa Cu @ $3.80/lb = under $4m pa. Maybe $5m pa with by products. And not for 6 years at least. Not very exciting.

Quite happy with this acquisition. Early stage porphyry project, but the sort of asset that can cornerstone a royalty portfolio for many decades. Los Andes is TSX listed, so easy to follow the progress there.

Pokkie,

Oh dear.

What happened to your Berkeley Energia forecast last year at 38p in May 2022 that it was going up?

Six months later, by January 2023 the share price had crashed 63% to a mere 14p.

Feeling more cheerful now that we have Que Passa back on site giving us the technical Chartist view, the man is a brilliant bell ringer if you know how to apply his insights.
Berkeley Energia is up from 15p last March to knocking on 40 since he made the call at fifteen I recommend monitoring him for further insights

#1Knocker, good stuff if you managed to add on the low in time for XD, nice win that..I might look at a top slice if/when we see 200 pence again, but for the most part my strategy here was set it and forget it, hoover up the dividends and build the position for free..Dividend payment and our Q2 update here next week.. :o)

The ECOR share price rewards patient buyers and cynical sellers.

Put in a low limit order to buy and forget about it. I added 10% to my holding at 111 in time for this dividend on a limit order I had in for months (and had reduced at least once).

When ECOR gets close to 200, say 180, put in a limit order to sell at about 180 to 190 !! History tells that you will get back in cheaper

If you look at the 10 year chart I think you will see the method in my madness.

Above all, when it looks as though it might break through 200 don't pile in on the basis that 'this time' its going to break decisively above 200 and hold its gains.

The pattern may change, but I shall need to see that change established for a significant period before I am tempted to revise my approach.

I did manage to add a small amount, but was rather hoping to be able to reinvest at that level too. Anyhow, good to see a bit of share price appreciation - I'll still reinvest here as I'm here for the long term story.

#The Deacon, looks like we missed the bargains at 112 pence, or I did anyhow waiting for the next dividend.. :o)Good to see a bounce here along with the wider FTSE lift from the receding inflation data.. Dividend pay day and Q2 update next week..

Up 4.6% to 122.8p on volume of 170000. Perhaps yesterdays RNS has reminded investors this is a share that pays dividends.
