Pretty good write up in Investors Chronicle on 10th Oct no doubt explains the modest buying that's happened since. It takes very little to push the share price up.

not tipped over the wkend, was tipped a few weeks back now though. seems to me that there is some buying interest in the name and no sellers. the recent issue of equity is probably employees exercising share options and selling shares to a buyer. quite clearly this is a gem of a company that the stock market has not picked up on....just hope that there is NO low-ball bid. what has achieved by this company is ENORMOUS

here is something and explains today's volume and share price tick-up.....eah tipped in today's Investors Chronicle, not a bad article for them!

ECO Animal Health (EAH) is a £134m Aim-traded entity that has rapidly diversified across the globe due to its specialist technical offering. It markets a portfolio of proprietary veterinary drugs in over 50 countries, including strengthening market positions in Latin America and Asia. Despite tough market conditions in Europe, ECO managed to increase its latest full-year revenues, while driving up net profits by a third. The most significant development for the group this year was the FDA approval of its drug Aivlosin for use in the US. The drug, a proven antibiotic used to control respiratory and enteric diseases in both pigs and poultry, is one of ECO's two principal products, and its entry into the US veterinary market is an important milestone for the group, although the commercial benefits are unlikely to become apparent until next year. Despite a solid share price performance through the year, we think that ECO provides the best entry point to this market.

I think that is the plan. PL would want to sell after all these years and hard work and take a back seat.

Short term movements don't bother me. This still looks like a great business in the making and one which will, probably, be sold.

The last sentence is interesting - implies a potential sale when they have launched in the US and Canada to me:

OUTLOOK

We are confident that the long awaited marketing authorisations in the US and Canada will have a major positive effect on the development of ECO, although it will be some months before the product launches gain momentum. We do not expect a noticeable impact on our financial performance until next year. ECO is very well placed to further broaden its product ranges and its global spread will ensure that it capitalises on opportunities as they arise in all the Group's major markets. The Group is set for an exciting future and looks forward to maximising value for shareholders.

Hi Audigger, topvest. The champers will follow when the company is sold and according to Killik today should be at least £300m.I expect the share price to rise gradually over the coming months and partytime to commence before the year end.

We should expect to see a number of buy recommendations and brokers notes on this in the next few days and also some big boys piling in. I guess the tricky bit now is to determine an exit strategy. When is the right time to sell? I still think the company will be taken-out by a bigger fish especially now they have the US market to aim for, so I'm planning on holding to see if that eventuality is realised.
