05/3/2020 12:46 | Here we go AS PREDICTED, ( NOTE FORECAST LOSES HAVE DOUBLED IN JUST TWO WEEKS ) By Alfred Chua5 March 2020 Save article Airlines globally could see lost revenues of between $63 billion to $113 billion in 2020, depending on the extent of the coronavirus outbreak, says IATA, as it labels the impact “a crisis”. The association’s latest assessment is more than twice its initial estimate of lost global airlines revenues losses resulting from the outbreak, when it on 20 February estimated a likely $29.3 million hit to airline revenues globally. The potential $113 billion revenue hit is financially on par with what the industry experienced in 2009, during the global financial crisis. | ![]() 1 nhs

05/3/2020 11:13 | Good long termer now for the SIPP. however hard to see a case for day trading this one in the short term (long to short)- long term other airlines will suffer greater than this one which reacts well and fast, taking into consideration the amount this has already dropped. Good luck to all. | ![]() stevedaytrader

05/3/2020 10:00 | We have 3 daily domestic Easyjet flights a day in and out of my local airport, one main problem is they do not allow 12 to 15 year olds fly unaccompanied as Flybe did calling these passenger 'Teens' with other airlines calling 12 to 15 year olds 'Young Adults.' | ![]() loganair

05/3/2020 09:20 | I know nothing of flybe aside from headlines, but seems it's had problems for some time. If a flight company has to go under, now is an ideal time, out of season and many travellers perhaps going as booked but can't cancel for CV concerns w/o refund, so a blessing in disguise maybe and assume various bonding/credit cards will limit travellers financial loss. | ![]() dr_smith

05/3/2020 09:04 | I don't think Flybe's collapse will provide many opportunities for Easyjet as Easyjet already has 35% of the UK domestic market. It seems to me the opportunities will to go airlines such as Loganair. Looking at my local airports flight arrivals and departures board it has been decimated with over 50% of the flights Cancelled. This morning only 3 flight departures are left running. | ![]() loganair |
