Using existing resources is just part of it. It's a symbiotic hybrid, not just using existing resources but growing within an existing structure that has room to double triple or quadruple without any unplanned substantial investment. It's very likely that the holiday business will create more profit than the airline with a couple of years |
In terms of actually running a business, which I think is a bit important…
If you enter a new market and get it right using existing resources, your returns will increase.
You can also cherry-pick the most profitable viable areas picking market segments. That data will be avsilable.
Also, you are not dependent on that market to maintain profits because you start from zero.
There are a whole host of other positives.
Its not just a pile into something regardless process. |
T2T
Two separate things there then: What sapphire thinks What EZJ are actually doing and likely to achieve assuming they’re not daft. |
Out for now. :-) |
I should think Bank of America are out so selling pressure off. Wizz air are either overvalued or EZJ undervalued. I think a combination of both. |
Farrugia I absolutely agree. |
Farrugia, the whole UK and other EU markets are trading at lower values. Money has/is being ploughed into US markets as growth is much better there.
The UK and EU economies are flatlining, here mainly due to anti business policies by the Labour government.
Plenty of other shares are trading lower, EZJ doesn’t stand out more than any other UK company. |
I'll have some of what you're smoking lol. |
My impression is that this should be 8 - 10 pounds at the very least. I've looked at what it was trading in the past and the dilution due to covid. |
Yump, no it’s the rampers on here that don’t know what they are doing.
Some of the loudest promise £6 then £8 then £10 followed by the moon, this was a year ago, same posters with no credibility whatso ever spouts similar more recently.
Even the £1bn gets mentioned as being very close even though the company state its a medium term aim.
The RSI has been very low recently and is starting to improve now, that’s more the reason for the increase in the share price as its was oversold.
Personally this isn’t a share I would buy and hold for any length of time, I have traded it a few times.
The trouble with airlines plenty of factors such as oil price, wars and weather can cause disruption.
As ever DYOR |
Package holiday is hugely complex. That you can just create platform to link hotels and pax and think you've cracked it like sapphire suggests is quite frankly absurd. EZY are a tremendous airline as I've said many times before. But it would be incredibly ignorant to think they will sail into these new waters like it's a duck pond. |
Should break the recent highs now +600p |
Seems to be a lot of supposition from some posters that EZJ don’t know what they are doing, without any real evidence about that. |
Buyers flying over from Wizz today? |
Lyq, a few on here seem to think they have knowledge but the share price does not follow the ramps.
The RSI is the lowest it’s been for a while so would expect some upside short term, however I don’t see thus as an investment more a trade. |
IAG compete against what are essentially highly inefficient KLM, Air France, Lufthansa, Turkish in Europe and for traffic across to America their costs are significantly lower. IAG have strategic airlines working together on routes and strong brand loyalty. EZY have decided to enter a race to the bottom against Jet2, TUI and savvy travellers. There is less (but not zero) loyalty between ryanair, wizz or EZY travellers. IAG have also introduced BA euro flyer at Gatwick as a lower cost but premium rival. Wizz have battered EZY market share at Luton and Jet2 and also getting in on the act at Luton. EZY for me has great potential, but I'm not sure it knows what it is... |
Lyqwyd, im thinking the same. However the market does not agree. |
Difficult one this. Similar p/e ratio to IAG, but looking at the last 12 months, IAG is up 120% with easyJet down 10%. Somebody, not me (or possibly any others on here), will have absolute knowledge of why that is. So, either this is a dog, or seriously undervalued. I am leaning towards the latter, but suspect it won't happen quickly. |
No, mgmt ignore dividend at last update-on big pay rises themselves-so going nowhere in terms of share price Too many alternatives like insurers that actually reward investors. |
Certainly there's a huge gap in the market recognition of commercial success and potential. Easyjet is scandalously valued |
The current Ryanair buy back = approx 17% of the entire EZJ market cap.
The gap continues to widen between Ryanair and the rest. |
Volume down a bit today. This is a decent base to build some positive momentum. Maybe some traders getting bored and moving on... |
That's why thousands protested in Málaga last June right? City centres, that are also on the coast |
1224 - they are restricted shares as opposed to performance shares - some companies have moved away from performance shares - however to reflect the increased expected value grants of restricted shares are halved. They are subject to performance underpins (over the next three years) but these are to ward against poor performance rather than reward good performance. |
