Jet2 and TUI hammering the TV advertising. Competitive market place this summer. Ryanair and WIZZ have already made the air fare a race to the bottom. Maybe we are there with package holidays now. |
Datatit , where are you? |
Regardless of Q1 update, which will a loss regardless, this is a jam tomorrow share where sapphire has counted all the chickens before they have hatched.
The only real share price movement up will be based upon whole market sentiment here in the UK, which at the moment under this government is not very good, we are likely in recession soon given negative growth overall since the election and business optimism being negative |
Not a bad business to be sure But not a patch on JET2 |
3 weeks until the Q1 update. So what do we think We should see a maximum loss of £100m. I am hoping for a loss £50-60m. If we get that and are on course with H2 bookings then we could be on for a £750-£800m profit year. It's a long way off but Q1 breakeven is vital for the £1bn profit target. Q2 will always produce a loss, even with a big easyjet holidays winter performance. Going into Q4 ahead of zero is the goal. |
Happy New Year to all |
The economy is finally balanced. Have reduced my exposure to the sector significantly. |
Sapphire ramping again, it’s settling down at 560 she means |
Your observation us technically accurate. But EZJ is not doing one of those things - it's doing all of those things - and doing them well. A one stop shop if you will. Hence it'll ramp up to keep pace with the bug boys and in time, likely exceed them. |
We should be in line for more steady progress this week. We'll see another push for £6. At some point the traders will exhaust and the share price will gain ground above to £6.20. |
There is a great offer on easyJet holidays!"£199 off £400+ Easyjet Holidays w/ code - travel before 31/03": TRAVELZOO199.Just booked a week holiday in January - nearly half price, hurry up the code still working. |

EZY is on the beach with an airline. It's TUI without the hotels and cruises It's Jet2 without the specialist knowledge It's BA without the prestige and quality Its ryanair with a better name It's wizz with older aircraft. Make no mistake about it EZY is well operated but it's not doing anything others in the industry are not. |
"This is a unique differential for easyJet"
I used this as a difference between two things. I don't see it as wrong. It's the factor that makes easyJet different from the rest. |
It's far cheaper (relative) than EZJ which limits the downside. |
Please list those dynamic risks. |
I don’t know why anyone is posting because we all have an agenda, so all views are tainted by subjectivity, but you don’t know by how much, so in the end all views are worthless.
Now I shall get back to my Bertrand Russell book and wait for EZJ to hit the top trendline.
Btw, whoever posted it; deferential and differential have very different meanings.
So I am not going to be deferential to whoever wrote that because there is a differential in the meanings, although that is an incorrect use of the word, its really just a difference. |
52 week, even 2yr, high brokenIf it can close above then charts bode very well for 600-620p next few sessionsIMHO GLA |
I rather suspect that given the multiple dynamic risks at IAG that one will surface soon to send it down. |
Good to see IAG and EZJ being top pics for so many. IAG flying of late. Odds on that it reaches 400p before EZJ reaches 700p. IAG maybe a year, EZJ 2. Be fun to watch. |
"The airline business is really not where it's at" Complete nonsense FFS.IAG, an airline business has far outperformed easyJet and it's holiday business over the recent past. |
Sapphire strikes again, she just can’t shut up, TUI are showing flat performance |
We all know that easyJet can work with flat or even sub performance. They simply have to convert a larger percentage to easyJet holidays. The airline business really is not where it's at. |
Is this from the TUI article, affecting the overall sentiment?"While demand has remained strong, some airlines' results this year were impacted by rising costs associated with labour disruptions, maintenance, or weaker business bookings.".... "While bookings and prices are ahead for the group for winter and summer, it is a more muted picture for demand in the UK.UK winter bookings are flat on a year ago, with 62 per cent of its programme sold, while summer sales are 3 per cent lower with 27 per cent sold." |
