Me too Z. Got my money back plus a bit. Some of the underlying companies results do not look great going into a recession. I hope that for LTH Duke continues to progress but I have enough investments elsewhere to keep me on my toes.

I'm out. I came in via Primary Bid at 35p and became disillusioned at the lack of capital gain prospects, but was waiting for the share price to recover so I could get my capital back. Today it reached the point that I can get it back if I add in the forthcoming dividend. It's a fudge I know but I like fudge.

It certainly needs sitting up and taking notice of. Investors champion knows what they are talking about.

However, it's just worth keeping it simple. As long as DUKE pulls the money in at one end then it can pay out to shareholders at the other..

Tipped by Simon Thompson who concludes with: "Duke’s investment team has been investing the capital raised wisely, deploying £26mn in two new royalty partners and four follow-on investments in the 12 months to 31 March 2023. The investments helped drive up the value of its investment portfolio (including loan and equity investments) by a fifth to £210mn, which in turn underpinned the increase in recurring cash revenue, FCF and the dividend.

At the financial year-end, Duke still had £42mn of untapped debt facilities and £8.9mn of cash available to deploy into new investments, hence why analysts at house broker Cenkos Securities expect recurring cash revenue to increase by 21 per cent to £26.4mn in the new financial year. In the first quarter to 30 June 2024, Duke achieved recurring cash revenue of £6mn, or 18 per cent higher than in the same period last year, so Cenkos forecasts look very sensible.

This paragraph is interesting:

Whilst the macro environment continues to create ongoing challenges for our royalty partners, the higher level of global interest rates and continued lack of demand from the mainstream banks to lend to well-managed, profitable SMEs, puts Duke in an ideal position to selectively deploy further capital and increase market share. As a result, I expect to see a higher deployment rate in FY24 than we saw in FY23.

Another decent quarterly dividend. Given the dependability and sight of income this should be more highly rated with a price of at least 40.

Looks like a fair amount of selling yet the price is going up. Big buy order in? They've certainly seemed happy to take lots of shares at a better price than quoted in recent days since the update.

I don't, so I have to be careful with the money I have. Not sure I won't jump ship if we get back up to my entry price.

Superficially interesting, but I grew queasy when digging into the figures. Looks like eps will be less than last year. Expect further equity fund raise. And the debt .....

Can't argue with the figures even if some on this thread are focused on what 'might happen'
Normally its companies that promote 'jam tomorrow' and investors that look at the hard numbers!

At 10% yield that's a tidy income.

First to admit I have little knowledge of what this company does but I've done ok a few times by following a chunky CFO purchase. I'll do some research now having bought a small stake this morning!
