Encouraging to note that Chris Moore (ex Chief-Exec of Dominos UK & Irl) has invested nearly £50,000 to buy 250,000 shares - good vote of confidence that DPP will make steady progress now that the funding is secured.

Just heard a webcast interview with Chief Exec Peter Shaw. Expects to be able to announce 2 new store openings by year end, with further 12 or so stores next year. He believes that recent fund-raising should see them through to profitability in FY 2015.

Am too very positive about this share and have done a few calcs (on the back of an envelope). EBITDA per store anticipated at £80k once up and running, if they can ensure a reasonable cash burn combined with good and sustainable growth then in five years time these 20p shares may be 200p.

18p was just about as close as the price got to the placing level...I'm not an institutional investor, so sadly no personal invite to participate in the placing for me.

Why would you buy at 18p when the placing was at 15p ??

I think the appointment of Chris Moore (ex Chief Exec of DOM) is just as significant as the placing. He should bring some much needed knowledge and experience in successfully establishing the brand in Poland.

No doubt this is very high risk, but the placing should reduce the risk substantially. I took the opportunity to more or less participate in the placing by adding when the price dropped to 18p yesterday.

This is likely be one for the long-term, but I'm prepared to take a risk and trust that the improved management team can do the business and replicate the pheonomenal success of Dominos UK & Irl.

I hope you are right, Monty.

The mgmt team has the experience of food retail in eastern Europe so I hope they can put that to good use.

Next year is critical. They need to sub-franchise quickly and successfully.

Now it is fully funded it is quite interesting. There are 700+ stores in the UK. Poland is about half the population of UK. It is quite possible they could have over 100 stores in 5 years. Could/should be a £100m Market cap in a few years time.

Post placing , the company will have 95,000,000 (95 million) shares in issue

So if the company makes 1,000,000 in pre-tax profit and assuming that tax does not have to be paid for a few years because of accrued losses, that would give an EPS of 1p

So at the placing price of 15p the p/e would be 15 (and thats with a tax rate of zero !)

The company states that profitability is some way off ...

The investment case looks better elsewhere .. and the directors have shown this by the poxy few shares they have subscribed to in the placing ... less than 0.3%
of the new placing.

Says it all I think.

This must be good news for investors....without the placing the co. goes bust (or is sold for a dime)but now, with a bit of luck, this additional cash will take them thru to profitability. Also, the two director appointments are good news. I'll be "doubling up" this morning.

Well they have. It looks like the placing though not underwritten will work.
This morning 16-18 price is wrong though. I imagine with a phone call you could participate in the 15p placing! It has to be a sensible investment certainly short term

As many of us pointed out earlier ... cash is pouring out of the business and some radical solution is needed.

Its rubbish to say that the marketing activity has worked ... it HAS NOT ... the initial stores were taking 3K plus per week per store ...

Current half year figures show that 746K divided into 12 stores gives cash takings of less than 2.5k per week per store = 130K per annum

This is a recipe for disaster..

Note what happened with Dominos in Switzerland ... there the cash takings per store were approaching £ 750K per unit .. Global Brands still needed massive restructuring and eventually the business was hived off into a separate entity which was sold to DP UK for an absolute pittance ..

Expect a MASSIVE massive dilution if they ever manage to get new investors on board

This was the sting in the tail:

"The Company requires additional capital to fund it through to EBITDA breakeven and beyond. We are currently in discussions with certain shareholders and other institutional investors about providing the extra funds required to capitalise on the significant opportunity to roll out the Domino's Pizza brand across Poland and support the Company's growth programme. The current plan is to raise up to a target of GBP10m, which we believe will be sufficient additional capital to fund the business through to EBITDA breakeven. While there is no certainty that any fundraising will be successful, we are in advanced discussions with a number of parties and have already received positive indications of interest. Following the conclusion of our discussions we will make an announcement regarding our future funding."

Not the most inspiring of updates. No figures. No mention of more stores.

"Driving towards profitable stores sales" = losing money.

I'll look at the share price again in five years' time, hope for the best.
