03/8/2013 12:48 | Ok, thanks for that. Will take a bit more of a look into it. | scrabble1975
03/8/2013 12:25 | Not really, these have been regular sales following results announcements | aa29
03/8/2013 12:06 | Hmmm, strange that they'd sell at that dip where some firm of support seems to be... | scrabble1975
03/8/2013 12:03 | Executive management doesn't have a great record of being committed shareholders. This seems to be good news in being the last of the major sales by Wray following results announcements. Wray and Hemsley have been selling over past few years - this latest sale takes Wray from 2.99% to nil and Hemsley down to 600k. | aa29
03/8/2013 11:48 | Agreed, and I'm not a holder of this (yet) nor a shorter of this (yet), but a quick glance at the 1 and 3 year charts would seem to suggest that similar large disposal/sells were followed by a rise in the share price, and the long term trend still seems to be upwards...Hmmm. Anyone got any thoughts on which way this might go? Regards to all. | scrabble1975

31/7/2013 10:46 | One has to ask what kind of mgt puts out two sets of statements one showing with Germany and without in their statement yesterday? I mean is DOM's share price split or something? This is going under £5.00 in the next couple of quarters it's got to it's not a growth story now is it? | bulltradept
31/7/2013 08:51 | Good trading Skinny :-) Peel Hunt view... German setback hits Domino's Pizza Domino's Pizza (DOM.L) remains a 'buy' for Peel Hunt even though setting up shop in Germany has proved more difficult than expected. The first-half results were generally positive, UK sales rising 6.4% and e-commerce now accounting for 63.3% of delivered sales. However, Germany was a sore spot, the group warning that it won't be able to turn a profit from operations in the country until 2016, a year later than expected, with the unit having lost £3.2 million in the past six months. Analyst Nick Batram said the bad news doesn't detract from the group's core appeal, although he is reducing his forecasts by about 5% to take into account the German setback. 'It is fairly common that building a Domino's business in a new market takes longer and costs more than originally anticipated,' he said. 'The problem for Domino's is that the rating didn't allow for any bad news. Despite this the core business remains attractive.' | philanderer

30/7/2013 12:15 | I don't disagree with your analysis Salpara111 and can certainly see the share price drifting down towards 500p and then sideways for a while. I think an individual's view on this stock will ultimately depend on their time horizons. Having watched the investor webcast this morning, I'm as confident as ever that the board will replicate UK & Ireland success in both Switzerland (already progress) and Germany. Yes, expansion will undoubtedly hold back profitability for a few years, but long-term DOM is very much still a growth stock in my view, with decent dividends along the way. Although I trade in and out on the price swings, I've topped up my long-term SIPP holding this morning and will buy more if it hits 500p or lower. | m1das_touch
30/7/2013 12:11 | Phil - posts crossed! | skinny
30/7/2013 12:08 | Still reckon that it is a decent business but equally I imagine that the share price will trade sideways for a few years until the German situation becomes clearer. | salpara111
