04/4/2013 07:06 | I dont see anything wrong with those results?? anyone? So why the big sell off yesterday? | johnthespacer
03/4/2013 19:23 | Good luck tomorrow phil. I decided against the gamble here and stayed out. There were drops like this at the back end of 2011 look, yet it recovered and was eminently tradeable! But you'll know the score in the morning.. Pump & dump for sure. (the barstewards!) | nofool
03/4/2013 19:18 | This is from the FAST thread:- birdsedgeuk 3 Apr'13 - 17:08 - 906 of 906 Looking fwd to article on www.traderdiary.co.u Think it's a best fiver I spent. | nofool
03/4/2013 17:36 | Having held these for 12 years, I can honestly say that I've never seen a price decline like today. In around 2007 they halved in price (from 3.00 to circa 1.55), but that took place over 6 - 9 months and it obviously recovered. The speed of today's decline (and the fact that it didn't reverse) has made me anxious. Even previous sales by the big, early backers didn't knock the share price like today. Anyway - nothing that can be done until tomorrow's IMS. Good luck to all. GJ2 | gj2

03/4/2013 16:37 | Something very wrong here... not looking forward to that IMS in the morning. Several people know more than we do. Looking at the two days trading you`d describe it as a pump and dump. Not good. | philanderer
03/4/2013 15:18 | Can`t see this dropping 6.25% on less than 400k traded wwhich is all that`s showing at present .. has to be some late reported sells coming from first thing this morning with that early 30p collapse. Wray may be looking to unload his remaining stake after the IMS in which case a big seller may know they can pick that stake up much cheaper tomorrow. Fun and games going on I reckon. | philanderer
03/4/2013 14:01 | thankx men ..there's bears in them hills | nofool
03/4/2013 13:55 | Afternoon nf. Well it`s almost reacting as though there`s been a profit warning with the housebroker dropping to 'add' from 'buy' - their reason being that it`s run up a bit too far too fast.... still upped their target to 700p though. Tricky one to judge but what about half today and half tomorrow ? just in case it throws a wobbly after the IMS in the morning. Taking a step back , it`s only down 19p on last thursday`s close before the holiday. | philanderer
03/4/2013 13:30 | i dont know what I would do here if tomorrow is good then you have missed the boat if not you have a better buying opportunity... | johnthespacer
03/4/2013 13:18 | phil, is this a golden opportunity to get on board (at last), or should I seriously wait until tomorrow? ..in your esteemed opinion? | nofool
03/4/2013 11:43 | Thanks robin, that Numis news responsible I reckon. Haven`t heard anything from Goldmans for a few months. | philanderer
03/4/2013 09:32 | Good point...I have read that Germany has just experienced its coldest March since records began in the 1880's. Looks like some profit taking this morning ahead of the IMS. Edit. Now I see that house broker Numis have cut DOM from buy to add but have increased their PT from 625 to 700p. | robinnicolson
03/4/2013 00:17 | Evening robin , that weather in Berlin has been just as bad as the UK | philanderer
02/4/2013 21:01 | Good old PG... they're certainly consistent with their sell notes... Not sure how DOM will have been affected by the unseasonable weather conditions. It's probably swings and roundabouts... more people choosing to stay at home and order a pizza versus difficulty of Domino's Pizza stores actually being able to safely deliver the pizzas in snowy, icy conditions. | robinnicolson
02/4/2013 13:17 | Here they are :-D The next few months could be a very challenging period for pizza delivery firm Domino's (LON:DOM), according to Panmure's number crunchers. They reiterated their 'sell' stance on the stock ahead of Thursday's trading update, with not much to look forward to in the second quarter. Last year the company was boosted not only by the dismal April showers that drenched the land, but also by events such as the Queen's Diamond Jubilee and Euro 2012 that saw Britons buy food to eat at home. This year there has been very little rain despite the cold and no big events on the calendar to boost sales. | philanderer

It now has funding and plans in place to establish a profitable business in one of Europe's most resilient economies. It will now have 15 stores open by the end of the month. 16/3/2013 00:09 | Domino's Pizza UK unveils new look Domino's Pizza UK is dropping the company name from its new tile logo to reflect growing awareness among consumers and is revamping stores in a 50s style, part of a global refresh of the brand. The updated logo keeps the brand's iconic red and blue colours in a domino shape with the company name removed. Simon Wallis, sales and marketing director at Domino's UK, says the logo "proclaims that Domino's is comfortable in its own skin and doesn't need to tell anyone that it sells pizza". He adds: "The brand is now one of the most easily recognisable symbols in the country. The name Domino's is synonymous when referring to pizza delivery and this is a reflection of how far the Domino's brand has come." Store layouts, in-store promotions and menus are also being changed with the brand opting for a more 50s Americanised look that accentuates its beginnings as a small pizza store. The remodelled store design aim to bring more visibility to the pizza making process along with providing an expanded customer area. The overhaul is part of a global refresh of the brand, which first began in the US last October, and is now being rolled out across the UK franchise's 805 stores. It marks the first major update to the brand in 15 years as the company steps up efforts to capitalise on growing sales. Sales increased 12.8 per cent to £598.6m in 2012. The move comes as rival Pizza Hut readies a £20m push to increase its share of the pizza delivery market. The chain, unlike Domino's, is not known for being a delivery business but is looking to change this by investing in digital channels such as mobile to boost online sales. Domino's is working with integrated agency Iris Worldwide on the UK update. | philanderer |
