20/11/2008 16:08 | Yes I thought it a bit odd. Trying to go over my value calculations again, I know it doesn't make that much difference (£1.5m approx), but does anyone know if their Cash is denominated in dollars or Shekels? | taylor20
20/11/2008 16:00 | What a strange announcement, no detail again. | gerdmuller
20/11/2008 09:25 | i still think £2 was the kick-off point for the discussions as in the original israeli press story, but of course lms would have been paying less than £2, because ,if they had taken over dmatek they would have inherited the £8 million in cash dmatek have.whether the price went higher than that we may never know.but it looks like the big shareholders were not pushing dmatek to accept the bid.do inflexion still hold 20 percent of dmatek?.inflexion was wound up as a public quoted company(at lms request, they owned 58 percent of inflexion) in 2006 when its investments was sold off to greenpark capital investment management and cash returned to shareholders.inflexi as the january trading statement will no doubt show. as always dyor | funchalman
20/11/2008 08:31 | However I take the note on trading update included in the DTK statement as to mean we are doing very nicely thank you , so up yours LMS. | holts
19/11/2008 17:28 | Recession ,unemplotment= more crime= More tagging=More profits for DTK=More smiles for investors | yangou
19/11/2008 17:17 | of course the positive is that the main shareholders did not want to accept an offer, (except LMS) wonder what it was at, I suspect it must have been over 160p? | elmfield
19/11/2008 16:59 | Indeed; as usual, i have failed to consider all the consequences! Interested to hear who you'll be supporting in tonight's friendly? | spaceparallax
19/11/2008 16:29 | Looking on the negative side of course, you lot will probably have to listen to me blabbering on for a good few years yet. I bet you wish the deal had gone through now. | gerdmuller
19/11/2008 15:43 | I added at prices over 140p but I am quite happy to sit here and wait for the results to speak for them selves, did not want to be taken out on the cheap anyway! | elmfield
19/11/2008 15:20 | DTK are in a nice win:win position, nothing depending on the approach, no cash desperately needed. | spaceparallax
19/11/2008 14:11 | Yes so would I funchalman , But guess its better for the future here. Just have to hold on longer but for a better price. Though it would have been nice to have some cash released to pick up some other bargains out there. | yangou
19/11/2008 14:10 | Yes I am very interested in how that figure of £2 and the fact that the approach was being made ever got out. I think if the discussions had been kept secret (as they usually are before a bid is made) then dtk price would have possible fallen with the rest of the market over the past month. Practically everything else has fallen in that period no matter what the fundamentals. This could have allowed a bid of around 130p to 150p which may have been accepted by some desperate for cash.. I never thought a co like lms would pay a 90 percent or so premium in this or any market. Maybe we should be grateful to the israeli journalist or whoever got the story out. | gerdmuller
19/11/2008 13:44 | well funny way to end,can understand the terse announcement from LMS,but would have thought dmatek would have been more forthcoming with their announcement.as it stands, if the original story had not broken in the israeli press we might never have known about these discussions.i wonder if the big shareholders ever got a say in it.just have to hope something creeps out about what actually went on,because i would be very interested to know. | funchalman
19/11/2008 12:37 | Selftrade typically being useless. Trying some dummy trades, won't let me pick up more than 100 shares online, no wonder its marked down if no one can buy any shares! | taylor20
19/11/2008 12:14 | twas fairly obvious lms wanted it on the cheap, i was hoping otherwise , c'est la vie. | holts
19/11/2008 12:09 | Very odd - LMS have known and backed DTK for donkey's years. One assumed the takeover was a friendly one so odd to see it end. Guess they were too far apart on the price. | hamsterwheel2
19/11/2008 12:07 | Indeed - obviously trying for DTK on the cheap. | spaceparallax
19/11/2008 12:05 | oh well, hold and wait........... imv | elmfield
19/11/2008 11:58 | LMS Capital plc ends discussi www.investegate.co.u | nigelbunting
19/11/2008 09:23 | gerd , after this length of time ,i think we can take it that LMS have made a serious enough offer, otherwise i think we would have heard by now, that bid discussions are off.management should by now, know, what someone is willing to pay for dmatek(whatever that maybe)and hopefully using that information to attract any other would be bidders.with the pound travelling fast downhill since the bid news came out, dmateks attractions can only be increasing.we can only sit and wait. as always dyor | funchalman
18/11/2008 11:37 | yes, we could do with news, meantime I know what I have been doing, or maybe I don't know! | elmfield
18/11/2008 11:28 | I doubt whether the approach is being allowed to interfere - I suspect that the Management will have made it clear to LMS that only a worthy approach will receive serious consideration. | spaceparallax
18/11/2008 09:33 | I just cant believe what is going on here. Six weeks and they still have not come up with a price. Lets just hope management is not getting involved with this and day to day running is not being affected. If LMS don't want to pay a good price for this co then they should stop messing about and let the company get on with making profits without all this distraction. | gerdmuller
14/11/2008 19:04 | tried for a few more at 143 after midday but no luck. | elmfield
13/11/2008 17:18 | two 10k buys, I reckon good value take over or not. | elmfield |
