06/11/2008 12:08 | Interesting quote from Hazem Ben-Gacern of Investcorp (in Acquisitions Monthly) who have a dedicated tech fund. Commenting on low valuations of tech cos at the present time. He states that small caps get little attention from analysts because of their low trading volume and so institutions do not get interested. They end up at the mercy of retail investors who soon get fed up with stock not moving. This is what these funds are waiting for. Good companies where they have become ridiculously undervalued because everyone just loses interest. Exploiting that lack of interest and getting companies on the cheap. Sound like a story I have heard somewhere. DTK is a great company and everyone who looks at it knows it. It should not be sold on the cheap. | gerdmuller
05/11/2008 10:44 | got a few more, | elmfield
04/11/2008 19:06 | reckon at will do as well for us holders over next few months as it has done over last month, relative to wider market, a tip top share, imv/ | elmfield
04/11/2008 18:41 | The trend is good - not dissimilar to BEG chart of a few months back. A good share for all economic outlooks, irrespective of the bid talks. | spaceparallax
04/11/2008 18:22 | spaceparallax, Yes, a new 12 month high on a closing price basis which is excellent relative strength compared to the general market. A bit of continued momementum would see us up to the 170 area in coming days. Also it appears that price now seems to be making higher highs and higher lows which indicates an uptrend in progress. | protean
04/11/2008 16:35 | Protean, Thanks for that - might have contributed to the late blip. Most importantly, it's reached above the previous 148p high - perhaps we could see more significant progress over the coming days? | spaceparallax
04/11/2008 14:31 | Small bit of coverage in Sharecast. Nice positive trading statement may get some new investors nibbling in the coming days. | protean
04/11/2008 13:02 | 147p a sticking point, then? Not for long IMHO... | napoleon 14th
04/11/2008 11:45 | Terrific trading statement - can't ask for much more in the current climate. | rivaldo
04/11/2008 10:07 | Looking solid. | spaceparallax
04/11/2008 09:39 | well with all that cash on the hip, good news and in bid discussions, its still only valued at £32 million! | funchalman
04/11/2008 09:10 | Dmatek is pleased to report a consistently strong performance in 2008, ahead of the corresponding period last year and in line with the trends set in the first half of this year. We continue to grow our existing business and successfully engage new customers, as exemplified by the new contracts announced last month. Our net cash position is maintained at over $12m, similarly to the half-year level. Yoav Reisman, Chief Executive Officer commented: "I am pleased to be in a position to reiterate my comment from the beginning of the year - our expanding work base and the higher proportion of recurring revenues within our income give us greater visibility and sustainability. We continue to work to convert business opportunities into long-term deals, and deliver on our targets for 2008". | cambium
04/11/2008 09:07 | Putting out a solid trading statement isn't enough to move a share price north these days. need a profit warning or substantial fall in profits with bleak outlook to move it up. Similar to M&S. Funny markets we work in !!!!!!!!! | oohrogerpalmer
04/11/2008 07:41 | morning, happy to hold/add. Dmatek Interim Management Statement Date : 04/11/2008 @ 07:00 | elmfield
03/11/2008 21:14 | Keep on chooglin'.... Happy to hold a relatively large amount of these. DTK & BVC prove that the right companies don't suffer the fate of lesser entities. | napoleon 14th
03/11/2008 13:50 | SP looking strong again - serious chance of a late breakout above the previous 148p ceiling. | spaceparallax
02/11/2008 12:26 | just a few words on the £2 business the only time £2 has been mentioned ,as far as i know, was in the israeli news story that leaked the bid news, forcing lms and dmatek to issue official announcements about bid discussions.the short term trader in the ft etc i am fairly sure all got the £2 bit from that original israeli press story. lms probably had to start with some figure to open negotiations, and £2,is a nice round number to start with before the hard bargaining.did lms know about the new contracts in the usa for $22-26 million when they approached dmatek,i would think not, as those contracts were only signed a few days before the bid news broke, and probably after lms first approached dmatek,so what extra value do those contracts place on dmatek? if a bid goes through or not, will depend on the ten shareholders who own 60 percent of dmatek,us smaller shareholders will just have to wait and see. hopefully some news this week or next. | funchalman
31/10/2008 16:33 | T'would be nice to stretch the high. | spaceparallax
31/10/2008 16:14 | well team dtk have been building this great company and it will pay its rewards, some one is trying to pick up stock today, imv. | elmfield
31/10/2008 14:04 | more to the point is that these so called markets fail to value companies correctly , for a multitude of what you would think are mostly the wrong reasons , from a business perspective. Long term horizons no longer exist , building a business seems frowned upon, have to spew out divis and fiddle with profits via various , dubious accounting methods, hence the mess we are in at the moment. | holts
31/10/2008 13:00 | crickley, there is nothing at all wrong with making short term trades I have done that with a few of my holding of these and others. But I think we have got to a stage especially at a professional level where short termism has got out of hand. When this happens we start to get markets which become both disorderly and to a certain extent unjust. Small shareholders have never had much power and in some market conditions this can be exploited in a takeover situation. Stock markets are there so that companies can raise capital and investors can gain a share of the growth of a company. I just think that the casino mentality has taken over from that ethos. Of course everyone is now talking about this £2 figure but the market does not seem to agree. The price seems to be saying the bid will either be lower or will fail. Only time will tell but buying these on a short term trade at this level does have risks also. I am quite happy to take my chances if the bid fails and if it falls back to £1 then I will be buying some more but I dont want to see a company with so much potential sold so that people can make short term profits. | gerdmuller
31/10/2008 12:20 | A whole load of sarcasm in return for an opinion! DTK is good both as a trade and an investment imo. A short term trade for the bid potential; a long term trade for investors. Some people trade the markets, some people invest. Fact of life. What's wrong with a trader banking a short term return? | crickley
31/10/2008 12:00 | crickley, you sound like an expert. Perhaps you can tell us what to invest in. | gerdmuller |
