"this will recover when the dust settles"

Do you want to underwrite that bounty boy? :)

Looking at the response from the company they clearly believed they'd get a fair write-up from these journos.

I'm reminded of Martin Bashir and Princess Diana and that infamous interview.

Only, Rusty shoulda known better.

You cannot trust a journalist. They would sell their own grannies into slavery for a headline.

I have held plenty of US stocks in my SIPP, and I mean plenty. I would say over 30, at least. Never had A SINGLE dividend reduced, not one. Please put a link about this Crest nonsense you refer to. Let's have a read.

It sounds like your broker is telling you porkies.

NO, I only get 15% deducted in an ISA making the yield received at the current price after deductions 9/10%

And there is 30% applied even if held in ISA or SIPP if dividend is paid via CREST. Will people just understand this and move on!

The UK and US have agreed not to charge withholding tax under the double tax treaty they have both signed with each other. SIPPS are recognised entities under the double tax treaty whereas ISAs aren't. Having said that your broker needs a policy to recognise this and claim the withholding tax. Not all brokers do. I know H&L do.

I sent my first questions in to DEC today and got a quick reply. Most answers referred me to the RNS issued today. But there was one other question asked. If DEC fully list in US would they delist from LSE?Here is the reply and I dont see this as very reassuring either!!!We have said publicly that we are evaluating all options in that regard. It would be premature to speculate further on a particular course of action.£1 tempting to buy back and get more shares for the net 7/8% divi. But think I need to monitor a bit longer. Feeding some of my proceeds from here in to WEN now over the next week or so as they pay 7% as well with more chance of capital growth at the moment.

Put it in your SIPP. No withholding tax.
