19/1/2024 22:46 | Interesting that he referred to me but I don't have a screw loose at all. I was pointing out that the interims are not audited which is a fact and to use capitals when referring to audited accounts is disingenuous. I never referenced anything to do with his figures and wasn't even arguing about them. I also only pointed out that they are subject to review and he still talks about qualified audit which isn't the same thing at all - no audit takes place. The interims may be reviewed at the year end but will not form part of the main audit. In theory you can cheat the numbers in interim financial statements and if the manipulated figures reverse before the year end and the annual results look consistent then it may not be picked up. Internal audits may have nothing to do with figures and could concentrate on systems. He is clueless about what goes on with a statutory audit and plays free and easy with using the word audit - even his header of an audit isn't an audit shows a lack of knowledge. Yes I get things wrong but if he wants to have a go then I suggest he reads what people post. My original post is 7309 on the DEC High Dividend Yield board. | scrwal

19/1/2024 16:41 | If depletion rates of late-life gas wells are increasing, it is because the distribution of well types is changing over the years: Fracked wells in shale deplete faster than do the conventional wells which predominated historically. Correspondingly, ageing shale wells are both more numerous and cheaper for their acquirers, such as DEC. It all balances out in the books. We only need to be concerned if we believe that DEC's accountants don't understand arithmetic. | ![]() meanreverter
