Declared short position is just 0.5% which is laughable given the action here.
Buying back shares at these prices is good but who is dumping and why?

If the board thinks the company is undervalued then there is nothing stopping them from stopping the buyback and just using the remaining unused balance to proportionately buy back shares at £1 each for all shareholders. I know it it is less than 0.5% of any holding but at least it is proactive and benefits shareholders who can reinvest the little money they get back into DEC if they wish.
It might shake up the market and maybe give it a boost but this constant downwards trend is now concerning although the board may have absolutely no control over it unless they know something is in the pipeline but that should now be a RNS given the circumstances.

DEC needs an RNS to calm this, short of an RNS will cause share price to fall further each day even with Co. daily Buyback .
Dividend yield is rising whereas share price is falling thus getting further apart.
At the present time , even the brave souls won’t dare to buy because they know each time they buy , the share price falls as there is a saying ‘Only Fools Rush in ‘ at this time

Another 5% or 8% drop today
