GG - indeed - however, I think you're referring to the RNS on 17 Aug.

These were share options that vested based on performance that was aligned to shareholders, namely growing EPS and total shareholder return. The shares that were sold were to meet the cost of the options.

I would be more concerned if those were the only shares he held. But the sale was of about 10% of his holding, which is 22.6MM shares.

There may be other reasons to manipulate the price, though I can't think of any, but probably not for such a small relative reward. It's possible that many shareholders on this board cycle about 10% of their own holdings as trading stocks.

Tax free dividends are getting dialled down to next to nothing but also capital gains tax allowances on profits made outside of a SIPP/ISA getting cut so it is even more important to make the most of the tax free wrappers..

So, nobody wonders why Rusty dumped £2 million pounds worth of shares in one single share sale near the very top last year, and has now magically produced a rushed share offer at £1.05 so he can buy back in at a massive discount, no doubt to pump it up again over the next eight months, rinse (idiot investors, lol) and repeat ?

...you can earn £2K in dividends outside of ISA or SIPP before you're taxed in the UK.

Dovey patience is the only play. Just hold and pray it doesn't drop further. The dividends will pay you back eventually.

I don't think you were denounced for it..we'd all like a higher share price Like all forums, responses and replies were opinions. Mine is that I'm here for the Divi and add on the drifts downwards thus lowering averages and increasing Divi income. I think patience is the best play here.

Thankyou lab305, I said how I was 'underwater' on these shares and was roundly denounced for it!

Further loss since then, of course, and, before anyone says 'top up at this lower price'. Currently held in ISA and used up my allowance for this financial year, don't want to buy in my ordinary share account as tax on dividends is punitive and getting worse.

I seem to recall hearing somewhere that Hutson wanted to grow the capital size of the company to $2.5 billion?

Perhaps I misheard, but if not that's an awful lot of capital raises still down the road...

lomand01 my thoughts exactly. There is always a fair lag between negotiation and announcement so they are keeping their powder dry for something. If they stopped the buyback on Halloween because of this recent deal then it took around fourteen weeks.
Speculation of course but let's hope the next is more favourably received. I remember when if DGOC as it was announced an acquisition the share price rose. Oh happy days!
It seems terribly passé on this board to express dismay over the share price. As soon as a poster complains he is shot down by others telling him what a great share it is because of the dividend. It seemed last year we had finally entered a higher range but the last six months have been deplorable and it will take up to 4 years for some buyers to recoup their losses via dividends . There is no law that says we cannot have dividends and some capital gain. Personally I would settle for stability.

The cap raise decision could not been taken lightly and suspect that the most likely reason was another larger acquisition using the credit facility is not far away. If so I hope it's for non traditional assets in the central area which have the most attractive economics.

The snap share raise has always upset the market with this share.
Doing a share buy back prior to a share raise has once again put doubt into the market place which is never a good thing.
All holders must be hoping that no spurious reporting surfaces a la Bloomberg to stick the knife in.
This could yet again take a bit of time to calm the market.

#1Knocker, ECOR dividend in the pot, recycled here at sub 105p this morning, a rewarding swap of a 5% yield for a 13% one instead and FOC too..

Only a small addition today but they add up over a year, also interesting to note although BP. went XD today, the share has now recovered to positive regaining the typical dividend payout drop in the same day, probably pushing my luck it will hold/rally further ready for a top slice into here post XD at 100/101p, but so far so good..

What catalysts could reverse the trend here..?, the dollar could hit the skids but not this month as we have just had the data, the recent raise/purchase will not complete before 28th, NG1 is trundling along at c2.50, hedges fixed and our XD 02nd, assuming the Tanos deal completes it would be announced on 02nd same as XD day which could impact and is no coincidence I am sure..

The Company announced on 8 February 2023 that it had entered into a purchase agreement to acquire certain upstream assets and related infrastructure in its Central Region from Tanos Energy Holdings II LLC ("Tanos", and such acquisition, the "Acquisition"). The Acquisition is expected to close on 1 March 2023. Should the Acquisition proceed, it is expected to have a deemed effective date of 1 February 2023.

Well done anyone who undercuts the placement price (just a shade further to go, to allow for the stamp duty). The narrow window will have done them a favour!

Well this idiot is making over 9% return in dividends each year and is very happy with his choices of INVESTMENT. I don't give a flying F... about any share price manipulation as it just gives you a better chance to increase your holding gradually.

SST I find your continual drivel boring and so I like most just ignore you and treat you with the contempt that you deserve. You will also notice that I very rarely post these days and will not be reacting to any reply as I don't care what you think because I am a very experienced investor and not a gambler.
