Distil - a buy
Shares in alcoholic drinks brands owner Distil (DIS) headed towards 4p last year, but have since slipped back. A latest update though included continued strong growth in sales volumes and revenues, with “excellent progress” in brand building activities supported by distribution gains. We resultantly see value here and, ahead of results set for this month, the stance is buy…

If advfn has it right, a hefty buy of 1.38million sh @ 2.335p this morning and a couple of moderate sells, but no obvious effect on the share price
Always difficult for some traders to decide whether to stay in or get out just prior to results.
I'm a LTH, so I'm staying put.

It's happened each time. Personally I think it's slightly artificially high with Milton scaling down. Gonna be a on track steaming update though with all our listings for redleg in the UK gaining alot of popularity now. Same as backwoods a little behind redleg though.

i am bit nervous as the last time when they released very good trading update , share price tanked to almost 1.8, if this trend will repeat itself on good news i will be adding some more.....

Cheers Pete - I am expecting them too next week. Hoping for Monday as that is usualy a good sign. Got to get you on a Gin & Ginger Ale or a Rum and Madagascan Cola at some time. :)

Hi Berny - I have tried to ask the company such questions in the past. Whilst the reply is never disrespectful, I regret it only ever amounts to something like ''we expect to publish our results soon''.
I don't really understand the reticence as other companies publish the date well beforehand.
My comment #5289 only meant that results in previous years have been published between 4th and 9th June which conveniently covers all business days next week.

Wetherspoons

Offtrade
Sainsbury
Asda
Tesco
Morrisons
Waitrose
Bookers
Majestic Wine
Other independents

Not a bad portfolio of UK distribution.

results were 4th June last year so possibly next Monday. |The company has stated that results are within expectations so they will around what is on the analysis on their website. I think from memory it is 10% or maybe 15% either side of expectations that would require a different announcement.

Sorry Berny - as I've mentioned before, I think the company is great, but I don't drink any of the stuff they make. Incredible. I like a beer, and if they only made a decent scotch ...... pete

When you take into consideration that the company or 1 brand could potentially be worth up to 1bil its still pretty cheap

What about Thursday's rise? Clearly something is happening with this leaky company and it's not just down to the tip. I'm hoping it's about the US deal for all three brands to be distributed by a single major importer.
