As illustrated by today's RNS, with that of a few days ago, not to mention previous comparable high level involvements around the globe, DGB generally operates at levels substantially higher than individual police forces. Also, that their tech leads the field in that context. That is not to say that low level applications, perhaps grouped up on a national basis are to be ignored if the tech and the pricing is suitable for such use but, make no mistake, DGB play on the big stage.

As far as I'm aware 'the police' operate independently force to force.

I did note in amalgamations reports and other suggestions that they need to work together on tech which reduces costs if they are all singing from the same sheet etc. Costs are of high importance of course and while tech purchases are an expense the reduce costs elsewhere pay off re false claims and contesting of evidence etc.

I stumbled across this toady so have little idea about the company but the tech caught my attention.

When I get the chance I'll run the details of the tech across the bows of someone I know that works in areas well beyond 'retail' to see what they think.

As I recall even for some use wireless tech has salesman (honest ones) advising against wireless. For small business and residential wired is an absolute pain to install at times so nice to trip over an apparent company and product that has made good ground there. Installations costs would surely be far less and it may set a stage for a fast repsonse to issues etc.

fillipe, uncommented upon here anyway. No bad thing - it's not one for day to day excitement. I'm wondering whether we will see an update in mid-October prior to the Half Year Results late in the year. Trading updates seem to have been linked with specific strategic news and they have not been consistent AFAIK.

As anticipated, but I note the following sentence from today's 2015/16 Results:

"As regards the UK exit from the European Union, we do not currently envisage any material trading implications for the Group given the nature of our customers and the channels to market, although we will be keeping the currency implications under review."

Results last year were on 23rd June. Date seems to ring a bell ......

Hope those that don't follow closely will look beyond the statutory figures. And that some form of adjusted numbers will be headlined to show the Solutions Div`s comparative performance now that Services has been hived off.

Results should be decent enough, based on the last trading statement. I don't see Brexit affecting them much as that statement referred to European business only as showing some early momentum. In any case, DGBs market is so highly specialised and focused that should there be short term tariff or whatever issues (marginal now, anyway) they will be seen as trivial in the application context and I expect any to be rapidly be accommodated for the benefit of DGB and customer alike. It is the ROW that matters to DGB. (So Brexit, bring it on, IMO!)

A necessary surgical amputation today it seems. (See RNS.) Poor Services Division performance will presumably hit this year's coming Results to end March '16. But now looking to the future, they have strong words. Fingers crossed.
_____________________________

The Solutions division has traded strongly throughout the period, delivering year-on-year organic revenue growth of around 50% and revenue in the second half of the financial year approximately 70% higher than in the first half. Driven by this strong momentum, revenue for the Solutions division, including Brimtek, is anticipated to be in line with the Board's expectations, with adjusted losses for the division expected to reduce by around 50% year-on year.

International performance this year has been particularly strong, with non-UK revenue expected to grow more than 100% year-on-year to now represent approximately 80% of the Group's overall Solutions revenue (excluding Brimtek). Growth has been especially strong in Asia Pacific and the United States, with multiple significant contracts secured in both regions. The Middle East has made good progress in the period, establishing a much improved pipeline which includes the framework contract secured with Etihad Etisalat (Mobily) as announced on 29 February 2016. Within Europe, whilst the UK remains a challenging market, the Group's increased focus on the wider Continental Europe region is yielding some positive early momentum.

The Group continues to secure material contracts with new and existing customers and can announce that contracts with major government agencies in Asia Pacific, valued at more than £2 million in combination, were secured and delivered late in the period. These wins build on notable successes for each of the Group's solution areas, with the period representing the most successful ever for the Group's class-leading EdgeVis, ThruVision and SafeZone technologies.

Looking ahead, the continued momentum within the Solutions division and the addition of Brimtek to the Group gives the Board renewed confidence in delivering a profit in the financial year ending 31 March 2017.

The contract does not include any of digital barriers own equipment but they say underlines that it was still a great idea to buy brimteck because it will increase sales of digital barriers own tech...... And the logic behind that statement is???????

Aviva, I didn't realise I had so much influence! Today's RNS is to cover the direct/indirect balance changing as a result of the loaned share having being returned - explicitly stated. First time I've noticed that. Still 6.33% in total though.

If you recalled them, Aviva, thank you. And don't do it again.

I'm no expert at decoding these things but it seems to me that today's RNS re Aviva and subsidiaries reducing their total holding ends up with them having remaining rights over 6.33% as 3.8% direct + 0.71% indirect + 1.82% out on loan.

Yes, lending out to shorters is common enough but this is serious bullying Aviva; be fair and pick on someone your own size.
