Asymmetric on the Verne earn out in that given general sentiment on DGI I don't think the earn out is priced in

I've added this am and happy to wait for completion in few weeks time and then the value remaining after the Aqua/EMIC and Sea edge sales. I believe this will be several times the current MV

Yep- perhaps true- but also could be bad news around e.g. Arqiva valuation. You'd think that it was all baked in - but on the otherhand I've been saying that for months!

I think 2. will struggle to move it down - no one's optimistic about the NPV of the earn-out, and the NAV is going to be vastly higher than current share price even if they take a knife to it.

But I say that as a holder.

Two things coming up which are going to be important for the share price:

1. Completion of Verne transaction
2. Updated NAV valuation with new valuation- which will include valuation of the Verne earn out, which no one has had any detail of yet. This could move the share price either way imo depending on the numbers

the price on this thing seems stuck - a pitiful 22% climb after such a crash!!?

Yep share price should be higher But then the same muppets who got the share price down to a level it should never have gotten close to are still running the show

Market wants to see the sale actually happen methinks.

Then it'll shoot up to my b/e ;)

Immediate bounce to where it was a month ago before the announcement of the phase II Icelandic delay

Which kinda makes sense, though you'd have expected a bit more given that we are actually (seemingly) very close to a conclusion on Verne now, still some potential for the brave

Yes and that massively changes the risk dynamic here. Think there is genuine special situation value here and expect they may get an approach to take this private.

Closing of the Verne Transaction is now expected to take place BEFORE the end of Q1 2024. The Company will update the market in due course upon completion.

50p is a bit optimistic on Verne close but should be north of 30p I reckon. This is great news as it de-risks DGI9 significantly. It was 28p when the volcano was kicking off and they had the approval risk.

I don't think the Finnish approval was too much in doubt- it is the Icelandic one that is going to be the last piece in the puzzle

I think it's 30p+ if Verne closes this month or early next month. Icelandic authorities have until June to give verdict AIUI.
