Good point DL. When I last looked at this page I hadn't realised there had been a RNS yesterday.....things seem to be getting "past me"!! Good job I don't play in goal.

Well done to the company in developing this account in a major teaching hospital and theres plenty to go for given the wide area ODM is being deployed across:

....'as it rolls out ODM adoption in surgery within its enhanced recovery programme, in critical care and paediatrics.' Source: yesterdays RNS

I think it is concerns about the NHS holding the shares back DL. It remains their largest market and although steps have been taken to preserve profits, there remains uncertainty whether the fall in UK probe usage has ended. The 2nd half will be against easier comparatives, so hopefully we are past the worst but Ewan hasn't been saying anything positive about the NHS for quite a while, so it's by no means a certainty.

What does it mean for Deltex if they sign up a dedicated trainer account slating 100 probes per calendar month?

Whilst this remains a target rather than an outcome and the parameters may vary one can estimate the impact this would have on the earnings and its rating by the market.

Annual Contribution 100 pcm X 12 X £100 = £120,000
Per share £120,000 /213,800,000 = £0.0005613
Valuation at PER 10 £0.0056

Valuation of 7 additional accounts £0.03929

But how do has the share price responded to the 7 confirmed DTAs of the 20 targeted for 2015?

As we all to painfully know the share price has fallen whereas one would expect something like a £0.039 boost.

Do we deduce that the market is expecting countervailing drop in NHS sales or other factors at work?

Could it be that the market has not yet factored in what has been achieved in the US and what is still planned to come?

Seat belts already fastened!

doglover2003, I tried your article and I got "this article no longer exists"

I tried searching for "deltex" and "surgery" but got nothing relevant. I got a link to Amazon: "free delivery on eligible Deltex products" !!! ...but then I once typed "Dwarf Planet" into amazon and got the message: "24-hour delivery on dwarf planets with Amazon Prime". That would be impressive, as it would take a huge amount of energy to deliver (for example) Pluto to me in 24 hours.

Actually I'm being unduly pessimistic:

Assume this year £5mln and that at least £8mln is needed to break even ie. a swing from 3mln loss to some small profit:

Assuming accelerating growth:

£5mln
20% growth = £6mln
then 30% of that = £7.8mln
then 40% of that = £10.92mln

So that's 3 years and then hey presto !

So what are the chances of revenue rising sufficiently for them to make even £1mln pretax to give a p/e of 20 at 10p, in the next decade ?

--->Quite likely given whats going on........

I'd be quite happy with a 10-15p per share takeover.

The reality is they lost £2mln which was a loss of 1p per share.

So what are the chances of revenue rising sufficiently for them to make even £1mln pretax to give a p/e of 20 at 10p, in the next decade ?

"the potential to substantially enhance our business in the USA"
...from "none" to "some"

"MedAssets serves four out of five hospitals in the USA"
...not that LIDCO will sell probes to four out of five hospitals in the USA

"MedAssets have awarded the purchasing agreement on behalf of a large US healthcare group"
...so already they're backing off from "4 out of 5" and saying it's only:
"38 hospitals"

LiDCO Group Plc

13 October 2015

LIDCO GROUP PLC

("LiDCO" or the "Company" or "the Group")

US purchasing agreement with group of 38 US hospitals

LiDCO (AIM:LID), the hemodynamic monitoring Company, announces that following an extensive competitive evaluation for non-invasive hemodynamic monitoring it has been awarded a five year purchasing agreement by MedAssets, a US based group purchasing organisation.

MedAssets is a leading healthcare performance improvement company that serves four out of five hospitals in the USA, and have awarded the purchasing agreement on behalf of a large US healthcare group. The major healthcare group serves 10 million people each year in 38 hospitals across eight US states.

Commenting Matt Sassone, Chief Executive Officer, said:

"This purchasing agreement is a very exciting opportunity for LiDCO and has the potential to substantially enhance our business in the USA as it opens up sales into 38 new US hospitals. Whilst the agreement is expected to have a minimal impact on this year's numbers we are confident that it will provide a platform for greater growth in the midterm, with larger opportunities being realised in the next financial year."

What exaggeration? Well there is no Note 15 re. the 2015 Interims.

Secondly the Note 15 re the 2014 Annual Report related to a higher figure for the invoice discounting facility than that in the 2015 Interims.

Of course the amount of invoices discounted varies according to the cycle of business activity. I didn't think I needed to explain that.

Yawn.

Note 15 to the accounts:

'Invoice discounting facility

The amount shown represents the cash drawn down under an invoice discounting facility; £nil remained undrawn (2013:£nil).'

What exaggeration? They had no headroom left.

The reason it has fallen since December is because the level of eligible invoices has fallen. There has been a decrease of £601k in trade debtors and a corresponding decrease of £388k in the drawdown of the facility. This happens every H1 simply because of the increased sales in December, and gives a clue, though you obviously have missed it, as to how much of an increase in the facility could reasonably be expected in December. This increase will have reversed by June, so it is relatively worthless.

I am not going to bother with you with anymore as it is tiresome and pointless.

Re bypooh (post 7602)

Actually the borrowings, i.e., bank factoring (of mainly UK invoices) has fallen by £408k. between the 31st December 2014 and 30th June 2015.

Bypooh - could we have less exeration in future please.
