Interesting Canadian news: the tender covers, not a hospital, not a number of hospitals, but a number of hospital _systems_. I'd like to know how many hospitals and of course the estimated revenue.

The more evidence that they can gather about improved surgical outcomes from the ever-increasing use in the US the more traction they will have for political lobbying in the UK. The extent to which they have engaged in trying to influence the political situation in the UK is unclear to me, but I sense they could be doing more. I added two weeks ago and plan to add some more before the results in Sept. As for today's share price ...who knows, this is AIM afterall!

Continuing NHS challenges. Just wish US can pick up faster.

With such sales the share price would drop unless MM has a buyer in the background they will pass the shares on to.

Let's hope there are more hospitals in the system who sign up well before Sept.

Interesting US healthcare info:

20% of health conditions are misdiagnosed.
Up to 40% of tests and procedures are unnecessary.
Physicians follow recommended care processes in about 55% of cases.
About 20% of treatments given are contradicted, i.e., should not have been provided.
Half of doctors admit to prescribing placebos to make patients feel as though something is being done for them.
It takes over 15 years for new, effective treatments to make it into clinical practice.
An estimated 400,000 people die due to preventable mistakes in hospitals annually.

Today's Supreme Court ruling re. ACA is I think good news for Deltex.

It basically means ACA is here to stay. Whatever the GOP say, the ACA is making healthcare in the US more efficient, because there is now real pressure to reduce costs, which isn't going to go away. Furthermore, this year the penalties for some Medicare readmissions prior to 30 days are going up.

The Count, BigT20,

It was just unfounded speculation on my part.

Serratia. The greater effort is shrugging for those for whom it's an option.

I assume the deleted posts were about the new Financial Director.

A pity there wasn't more in the RNS about his industrial secondments as I would like to know more about his commercial experience.

However he should know the DEMG accounts like the back of his hand!

mrC2u,

OK, I've removed everything. Still, I believe it is a surprisingly low key appointment.

Feb - think you're reading too much into it - he looks like a corporate type who uses a one-man company for tax planning purposes to me.

Feb - yes, I thought it was rather low-key. Could mean they're focusing on conserving their cash rather than raising more of it, which would only be a good thing.
