IMHO this always moves on a few trades - this time in the right direction. OFWAT announcement will help though.

Interims due at end of this month

OFWAT statement 2nd December - after the Interims

My broker thinks that water stocks are having a good run not just because of South Staffs, but because they are undervalued.

I am staying with this, East Surrey. and United Utilities

Zeppo - when your looking to put your profits in to something take a look at ECWC Ecofin Capital shares (Investment Trust aimed at water and power PLCs) NAV of £1.85 share price of 89-93p massive holdings in BTW, NWG, ESH and AWG all enjoying the arabian sun light from SSW takeover at premium to RAV.

There must be a heck of a stock shortage at present.

Mark-ups appear to be on little trade

Or is there something in the offing?

Is the £10.00 take-out estimate correct?

Good job I put all my S Staffs money into DVW last week before the current rise.If it does receive an offer I would expect it to be at least £10 per share as the Regulated asset value is £45mill and the present market cap is £30mill.

Now the smallest independent water provider?

After South Staffs went this week it is only a matter of time for this one, I believe.

Meawhile enjoy the divi!

Sorry to be so late responding.

Thought I was ploughing a lone furrow and failed to look for some time.

Still drifting a little after the beastly OFWAT regulator made them lower their water prices slightly rather than raise them by a mere £5 over the five year review period.

Still holding for the income after buying at about £5.45 or so.

IS THERE any one there?

See RNS 7th May 2004

Submission of business plan to OFWAT

DVW's submission must embarrass the bigger water companies.

Expected total rise in water rate over five year period £4.26: from £101.11 to £105.37 over the five years.

If you want a safe income with gradual growth?

Is Dee Valley simply a good yeild - or is it a takeover target?

Any ideas?

Interims due soon.

Been looking at this for a couple of days as a possible replacement for another in my income section, yield looks good, good divi cover and near to lows, sector average nearer 6% yield rather than 7.2%, OK not going to explode and market cap is fairly small but a steady old performer.

Any skeletons in the closet anyones aware of ?
