Well HOF needed about £70 million for Christmas stock before admin so its unlikely they will have the stock.

So this gives Ashley a major problem at the moment he is going to have to put his hands deeper in his pocket.

Mug punters buying at the moment following the Telegraph article helped by the market makers marking up the price.

The market makers will suck them in then mark down when the buying slows down imo.

The whole business with Ashley and the concessions plus the suppliers is most interesting. I mean all the Christmas orders must surely have been placed and all the planning for the store spaces done. As soon as staff come back off August holidays it's Christmas season for a store like HoF, which does the majority of it's business in that period, what with their massive perfume and cosmetics offering.

A couple of years ago HoF ran some rather good ads around the song 'ready or not, here I come'. It would be most ironic if Mike Ashley wasn't ready for Christmas and the stores were less than full of stock.

Debs high turnover in trades in first half hour which is not surprising as markets are very volatile Asia all red other markets red all over the board.

I expect share price to be volatile which it has been in the first half hour.

The futures show a 97 point drop .. so i guess the shorters are not doomed to failure today .. hopefully Debenhams will stay in its tight 11-12p range (and there's no need to repeat the same post three times!)
