severe implications for customer booking confidence, which could lead to a weaker 2020 summer 'lates' market and delayed booking cycle for 2021

Would have been better to just finance the airlines til next year and concentrate on getting the virus gone.

The half way house approach has just lengthened the time and trouble this is causing to the industry.

Mixing with this virus is dangerous.

Ryanair plunged into loss in the first three months of the financial year after what it called the most challenging period in its history...See whole story on BBC, its worse than dire.

15 years is recipe for disaster pal. We saw what happened with stay-with DTG-long-term-no-matter-what just a few months ago. Apparently you're not keen to learn from experience. Isn't that a key point of the good book you keep quoting?

I'll be buying into the dip, not necessarily tomorrow. My time horizon is 15 years.

No I am not a heavy buyer tomorrow unless there was a total blood letting which I doubt.
Too much out of the companies control.
We need this to be sorted by January so people can book next summer with confidence.
By late winter cash will be tight.
Remember the 300 m will be to pay back once used.
That could be 21 and 22 profits so 23 before we can re build our balance sheet.

Senn - Give yourself a pat on the back for being the voice of reason and consistent throughout.
You’re wrong about there being any need for a RI but l think your shutdown plan - which you’ve voiced throughout, would have benefited everyone. Including Jet2.
Interesting, on ch4 news tonight, covid confirmed cases in mainland Spain have gone up 50% in a week.
The UK figures (England) aren’t great either. I genuinely wonder if the two are feeding each other.

Buying on the dip not sure if that's a good idea, summers bust, and winter is a few m9nths away loss making for j2 so it's 3 winters in reality of losses

Cases in Spain France Germany and now uk are on the rise again.

Forward booking will now have stopped for Sept October due to this mess 're spain.

It's a sector I would not touch until a blvaccine is available and works which is way off in H2 next year imho

sounds like people have started receiving automated e-mails from Jet2 offering 1) travel as per ticket, 2) amend the booking - date change etc, waive the admin fee, 3) credit note 4) cash refund. Not sure whether this is for mainland bookings only or whether all Spanish booking
