SP - many thanks. Hope you are right about not being negatively affected, I completely agree with you, but we have to remember, perception seems to be the order of the day at present, and DNK are not completely in control of their own destiny. As said, I believe, and will continue to hold

vols in first 30mins on the nas are low and would suggest a quiet day with trading in once again a narrow range but you never know last 2 hrs on the nas are always volatile and we could see some movement northwards but i feel overall that the next 2 wks are going to be interesting

The figure quoted was $3bill (dollars US)

I've copied this from the Yahoo board re your Enron comments - Once again DNK is in a strong position here.

During the later and beyond time frame in which Xerox accelerated revenues to pump up earnings, Danka was cleaning its books and writing off over 100 million in obsolite analog equipment. This was done at a great sacrifice to shareholder value. This was noted at the bottom of a Y2K earnings report where it stated shareholder value was not a concern at that time. Dankas share price suffered tremendous losses thruout 2000. These losses were greater percentage wise than Enrons. Year 2001 comes along, books are clean, losses show on all web sites which makes a shareprice difficult to recover, shares trade flat thruout 2001.
March 2002 comes along, the last of Dankas tremendous write offs, and losses due to previously putting their books in order will become a faint memory. There is a Valuable lesson to be learned from this Enron and Xerox fiasco.
Honesty is Always the Best Policy.
It may hurt, and it did, to be Honest, but it will pay off in the long run.
It is my feeling that we have started the "Long run". I feel the faithfull longs that have been held under thruout the year 2000 ordeal, and 2001 recovery process, may begin to break the surface and have 401k recovery this year and thruout fiscal year 2003. We are starting to get some recognition. I have seen an Artical on Small Caps which featured Danka along with other turnaround stocks, we have even made it to a top 10 stock picking club board. The momentum is starting to

Yes, they paid as I understand it £7m fine, but did not plead guilty. This avoided prosecution. Figure I heard was £1B not £3B, but I guess at that level, it is a tad immaterial !!!

Hope will be seen as positive, but you don't know if they might not get caught up with the overall Enron type rubbish - paint em all with the same brush !

Good luck

Good day Dankers

An interesting post on the yahoo bb. Xerox have been overstating their equipment sales between 97 and 2000 by $3billion. This will put DNK sales in an even better light.

General sentiment across the pond appears to be north today and overall till the 29th and then good figures are expected to accelerate DNK even further.

The 250k "Super Message" posted is best explained below

Super Messages: "Supers" offer a more explicit medium for broker/dealers to advertise their interest in trading a stock. In a Super message, broker/dealers specify the exact price and size of stock they want to trade, as well as whether they are interested in buying or selling the security.

Because super messages specify a price and size, they offer a unique opportunity to gauge the interest of institutional investors. Due to the specific nature of these messages and the fast pace of changes in the marketplace, Supers have a short shelf-life and offer only a small glimpse of the total market for a security.

It is my belief that this is the calm before the storm. Volumes in both the U.S and here are bound to be low and the price may tick down a little as some nervous punters sell simply because their not achieving a daily gain, (how short sighted is that). This is before any wisphers of the figures start to imerge to institutionals. IMHO in about a week we should start to see much greater volumes being traded starting in the U.S. The same thing happened before the release of the Q3 results. The end of year results probably won,t appear until mid MAY so if the timings the same as Q3 then the fun starts about mid April so hang on in there and don,t panic your patience will be rewarded.
