The $2.50 support is broken today. Must rebound tomorrow otherwise the sellers will attack the next support of $2.33, which is only 13p away from today's close.

productivity figures very encouraging. 1.5% vs 1.1% .


Productivity in the US was revised to
show an increase of 1.5% in the second
quarter of this year, in line with
forecasts, and above the originally
reported +1.1%.
In Q1 productivity stood at +8.6%.
The increased productivity reflected
the fact that non-farm businesses
produced more goods and services during
the second quarter than the government
previously estimated.
Excluding housing, their output
increased by 0.8%, up from an initial
estimate of 0.4%, the government said
last week.

Oh yes, I won't worry for Danka at all.

Regarding the Dow, I believe it could go down under July low at 7700-ish
and FTSE 100 could go down under 3700-ish. I hope will be wrong!

13:30 BST Q2 productivity
13:30 BST Weekly jobless claims
15:00 BST Jul factory orders
15:00 BST Aug non-manufacturing ISM


ps I have been accumulating more Danka
stock in the past few days and last week.
Putting them in my long term portfolio.
Its one of the few stocks I can forget and worry the least about.

phook, today people will focus on
-Initial Claims
-ISM Services and Factory Orders
-Intel Mid-Q update after the close

Friday, tomorrow, will be the key employment data.

If the data are good then could help the psyco war on 11/9 but if bad then trading on the 11/9 could be worsen.

yesterday's US car purchase data was very good oaks. Thats what pushed the US market. The market will girate until Sept 11. Thereafter a rally and then who knows ?

johnymac, that 300K was a buy in the early morning although recorded few hours later.

The market looks bearish. Look at the CNA, the result released this morning was very good and the price was up to 8p at the early trading but soon gave back the gain and now just 1p up. The trend still doesn't look bullish yet.

US economic data will determine the market today & tomorrow. I keep some cash (over 66%), normally only 20% or less.

Picked up this site from Yahoo BB - lists Institutional interests in DANKY/DNK



Whilst it gives the data as of 30/06/02, we know that Fidelity have added even more. It will be interesting to see, how much additional stock has been accrued by other institutions when the update is published.

Overall, there are more institutions acquiring significant amounts and a few disposing of small amounts. Quite bullish IMHO.

Nope. The 4500 at $2.60 was taken up. With 20 mins till UK close, Redican and Island now have buys for 3300 at $2.57 between them (placed at 1111 and 1112 US time). If that does not hold the price, it could well go below $2.50 today.

Good buying support in the US. The archipelago site below shows Island have a buy for 4500 shares at $2.60. This buy was placed at 1047 US time (1547 UK). That should hold it above this level through to the UK close at least.
