retsius - me too. There is that end of day sign that a fund or someone is accumulating: 451 shares at 7005. This consistent buying in recent weeks is what has pushed the share price up i.e. someone building up a position.

New closing high and on a very dubious day in the market.
Quietly pleased with outstanding performance this year.

retsius - yes there was someone appearing to steadily accumulate in the background. Looks like the share available for them to buy ran out. Hopefully the final results are ok.

New high for year at £70.00. Simon T was hoping for this two years ago but share price wilted.

retsius - yes looks positive. I read that about 2/3 of stock movements are from changing sentiment i.e. changing P/E ratios or changing discounts/premiums. I have noticed that there have been end of day buys here at 68 for the last few days. Seems to be clearing out weak holders. However, I notice that shortly after your post the share pice fell back (still shy).

Good value if the NAV is on a medium-term positive trend. I think it is simply due to rental income and reinvestment. i.e. quite apart from underlying property value trends.

retsius - yes all positive stuff. However, an illiquid and volatile share so could easily get knocked. Two months until the first update for the year to March 2017.

I walked past the Travelodge building site that Daejan owns in the East of the City today. Seems to be coming on ok. Should be finished next year.

Fundamentally, the key drivers here are the NAV and the dividend trend. Daejan seems to be well managed to me and as such we should see progress on both fronts for the six months to March 2017.

It is inevitable that the NAV will be over £100 soon and I think the psychology may change then. I.e. to this is a family run company that is delivering rather than this is an illiquid family run company to be avoided.

retsius - other property stocks have started to recover. Derwent London for example. I think Daejan is just late to the party. Good volume today suggesting this could be a turning point. Three months to full year results. I think Daejan will continue to deliver the goods. Investors seem to overlook the fact the group has premium asset in New York and London i.e. high quality real estate in supply constrained locations.

Biggest Travelodge new build hotel set to be owned by Daejan. Should help boost rental income and NAV. Quality bluechip tenant. Completion next year:

retsius - yes I should of sold at £67. Real estate sector in the US got a boost yesterday from cautious Fed tone. Current discount to NAV nearly 33%. Probably now we are in a waiting game until the final results in early July. If there is a surprisingly good results (say above £100) and the dividend gets a boost then the shares are likely to rally.

Slightly off the boil together with other property stocks.
Got divvy today, but don't know if I will buy Djan at the moment as there is little immediate incentive to buy.
