LAS has higher leverage, this is still cheap by the numbers but admittedly not as cheap anymore.

ST tips them again today - nothing like a little piece of press loyalty to help sustain an share price - though not working with his other favourite, family-controlled propco LAS!

The lesson as ever is to sell into any tip-inspired rise.

I have bought in a couple of times in last 2 weeks. Based on discount to NAV really. Good company at a good price. IMHO

Yes it does somewhat look like that but you have to remember there was a relief rally after the Scottish Ref. vote.
The one off gain underpins a rising share price and we still have Simon T.to pronounce on the gain.

Very welcome indeed. Unfortunately however, the the market moved on Friday to news announced on the following Monday. It doesn't help the credibility of the company.

I had noted today's move but couldn't see any immediate reason. Hopefully DJAN will just keep on keeping on.

Yes, Berkshire Hathaway doesn't do corporate governance by the book either. Daejan directors play things in a similar way - large personal holdings and not overly greedy on remuneration. This is a nice property company.

low gearing
doesn't comply with the corporate governance code but unashamedly says why not
excellent long-term track record

Missed the FT for the first time in a long while as I am on holiday.JL..always worth reading and he used to praise Djan but I thought he had sold out his holding.Could I ask what he was saying? Article could not be found on the FT website.

Many thanks

Have studied the annual accounts.I am not an accountant but in my eyes they look outstanding.
They have invested recently in American property which should ensure good income for the future, let out Africa House, and debt levels are reassuring low.
Good share to hold as the marked wobbles.

LOL...absolutely. It would nice to be one the way to being a billionaire from their careful management of Daejan. Shows you what can be done if you invest prudently in property (without excess leverage) over 50 years.
