A big yawn. The tech industry is littered with aquistions that proved not so wise months and years after the event. Let's see how cyan share price is doing in 6 - 12 months. I reckon share price will still be in the toilet.

MB,(Other than revenue as expected), I spotted no New-News, just a good consolidation of what is happening and the first use of the collective identity CyanConnode. The positioning of the alternative comms. protocols is useful, as is the increasing emphasis on IoT enablement. The "500%" growth is a bit tedious, just serves to underline the minimal sales for the comparative! I am looking for revenue to compound 3x over several successive Half Years......Cheers, tightfist

hsv1, well called on Qunindell and I think the fundamental difference between the two companies is that one of them was lead by an out right fraudster!

With JST making a direct £2m investment in Cyan so soon after signing a distribution agreement for Thailand and South East Asia in May, one would think they could bring significant business our way due to their level of investment. Why choose to invest to the tune of approx 8% ?

"JST is a major supplier of technical products and services, providing specialist equipment and manpower to power industries in Thailand and across South East Asia".

John Cronin, Executive Chairman of CyanConnode, commented:

"I am incredibly pleased with, and proud of, the performance of the team and the Group during the first half of 2016. The performance during this period reflects the Group's growing customer orders which have led to a substantial increase in revenues.

"We have strong relationships in place and have rapidly increased our target markest. Buoyed by the acquisition of Connode, which adds geographic reach and relevant standards to CyanConnode's portfolio, we remain excited by the Group's growth prospects. We continue to explore global opportunities and look forward to integrating the Connode team and products, securing more repeat orders and benefitting from increased levels of recurring revenues. We expect trading during the second half to reflect our increasing levels of commercialisation."

Since you ask I would guess very much lower. Might be worth a punt then for a swing up.

Much happier if this board remains quite and Cyan doesn't attract attention. Cantor's have just released the following note:

Cyan’s acquisition of Connode creates a hybrid offering for smart metering and the Internet of Things (“IoT”). In our opinion, the acquisition and associated fundraising enables Cyan to better capitalise on global opportunities, allowing it to dominate the market and become the number one narrowband radio frequency (“RF”) mesh solution provider. The deal expands Cyan’s global reach and portfolio allowing it to future proof its customer solutions by providing greater flexibility and choice. With stronger financial support following a £10.1m fundraising we reiterate our BUY recommendation at a slightly diluted target price of 0.8p.

A very interesting EGM and AGM in Cambridge today, I guess the subsequent presentation will very soon be posted to the company website, definitely recommended reading. The Connode acquisition looks a very good complementary fit to reach out into markets accepting a higher price-point; the initial contract within SMIP opens-up a whole new geographic area of business (UK) and potentially an IoT network. No doubting the Exec. team enthusiasm and short-term UK roll-out traction. The heavy financial involvement of the Board and Senior Managers in the placing is notable, even more so in taking shares and foregoing salaries of £704k over the next 12 months.Cheers, tightfist

hvs1: thank you also for your intellectually stimulating contribution. I imagine the lateness of the hour (11:03pm) indicated a well spent evening getting plastered. (I may be wrong but your post strongly suggest otherwise).
Get well soon ;0) Best wishes - Mike
