Daz, don't know if I have a better understanding, but the RNS states 2This shortfall in revenue can be attributed primarily to delays in customer decision making and buying cycles being extended which has affected customer order timing."

Can someone with a better understanding of the business explain how revenue has fallen when they say they added 32 customers and renewal rates are running at 98%?

Also, the 13% growth in ARR, although creditable, is not as much as I expected in what I thought was a faster growing niche.

Well I hope so, because it's one of my largest holding now having been buying for a good few years. I did sell a few at 11 12 and 14p early last year - might sound clever but lost more on what I bought with the proceeds!

Not sure you understand the software / saas business model. They sell to product description to a standard contract set with very minimal marginal costs. If they take consultancy contracts they will ensure risk is with the customer and not linked to base software performance. Software companies do not turn away business due to the very high margins, low delivery cost and risk helping cover high fixed costs (r&d, admin, sales).

a very decent set of results - to increase revenue in this sort of business takes time and precision to make sure it works positively. Many companies just take on extra work for the sake of it and them fail on delivery .

Surprised the market reaction here. The key here is the move to repeatable as a service revenue from selling perpetual licence and products - as well as renewals on the support element of their perpetual products. As a service revenue far more highly valued, at least in the US, so arr and contracted backlog are key. The ‘surprise̵7; h2 revenue and profit last year was from a perpetual deal. To me a really decent set of results, some divis from elsewhere later this week for a top up for me.

The 6% revenue increase looks like a big miss vs. expectations. Stockpedia has revenues forecast to almost double this year (I'm not sure which broker they get the figure from). They'll be well short of achieving that

Order intake, which reflects revenues recognised over the lifetime of each of the contracts, remained strong across H1 2022, up 22% to c.$10.9 million (H1 2021: $8.9 million).

Revenue for H1 2022 increased c.6% to c.$8.8 million (H1 2021: $8.3 million) with EBITDA2 in H1 2022 expected to be c.$0.9 million (H1 2021: $0.1 million), with successful development in the execution of management's go-to-market strategy.

I would add that it is not easy to turn very quickly a loss into a profit. This is a proof of strong awareness by the management of keeping cost under control. A good quality company.

Excellent results and excellent management very aware of cost control. In my opinion, this is how gems start to become big. In a few years the share price we see today will be just history. I feel very confident about the prospects of this company. When it will be on the radars of many, the train has already left the station ... So Buy/accumulate as many as you can afford and just sit back and relax.

Interesting company with a very experienced and competent management. It is not a new company either as they were around in this domain for a while. Finals due next Thursday 28 April where they will certainly flag up huge improvements in growth and nearing profitability. As cybersecurity segment is becoming more and more vital to every industry, just tuck away and hold for a few years.
