The acquisitions came after 30th April so are not counted in the number

The target is 25p bishan bedi. If it were not for the general situation, I am sure it would be there already, as it should be above the old highs before the car parts mess. Think how bad it would be now, if that road had continued to be followed.

Now we have a rounded business with potential in so many fields.

Nicest bit IMHO is the cash pile hardly had a dent in it despite several million paid for acquisitions

Very positive statement-profits materially ahead of expectation, substantial (& presumably growing) cash balances,(despite 2 acquisitions since 30/4)& a historic yield of around 6.5%(based on current SP) & likely to grow more this year ( assuming no banana skins).Better than cash in the bank & possibility of takeover in next 2/3 years ( or before).
I dont expect share price weakness but were there to be any based on no news I will be adding

Yes, continued progress like what we have seen over the last couple of years could see a rare 10 bagger from my 2020 share purchase.

LOL - yes, it's not just the screening algorithms that can't cope with CRU's idiosyncrasies!

Not to mention us having to run the HL back office as a result of the complexity!

Lovely RNS

A very fine announcement this morning, but I wish they would sort out their dividend policy. I know we had an additional dividend of 0.4p in June, but the various share databases do not generally deal well with additional dividends (it is not even shown on ADVFN's "Financials" page). Thus, when potential investors run screens on he likes of Stockopedia, CRU will be excluded from many high yield screens as it will look like it has had a 60% cut in its final dividend, rather than a 20% increase.

charo don't forget the plastic wheelie bins that buywell3 will need to dispose of all his/her other plastic waste you mentioned.

Plastic is not the problem , people are, if they disposed of it correctly there would be no problem - even waste to energy plants benefit from plastic waste in general household rubbish.

People dump all sorts of rubbish and often in the sea, in fact how much plastic has been exported only to be dumped in the sea.

The man made fibres in clothes are all a problem but we hear little about that, so lets assume buywell3 also only wears cotton or woollen clothes and shoes of leather with rubber or leather soles.

Better get on and strip out all the insulation material in his/her home also. :-)

Seems to have come through now, with no prompting on my part.

They have gone from same day payers to next day payers in the last year or so. Probably COVID related so they will put their fees up and I should apologise to them...

Mine not yet received from H & L.I consider them generally to be very efficient & my occasional calls & emails are always dealt with promptly.Your point is taken though as I hold approaching 1% , the divi therefore being relatively considerable & had I wanted to invest it elsewhere I would have been delayed

Has anyone else received the divi from HL yet? I'm less and less happy with the service I get from them I have to say

How about we just remove all articles which have a plastic content from buywell's house and make him a sincere woke warrior instead of a fool, hopefully starting with computer equipment and electric wiring.

It is about time that the UK Government got serious about the damage that plastic waste is causing

Let us have some taxes please
