10/8/2012 08:26 | duxy , they have no chance if they go to court , no company ever wins a case against a sovereign state , thats how it works , they need to sit down round a table and pass over lots of brown envelopes , that should do the trick! | ![]() jotoha2
10/8/2012 08:21 | Jotoha- i don't you have a clue about running a company. Blatant deramping will get you nowhere here. Bottom line, this is down because of a dispute with the philli gov. If you believe otherwise, keep your short open after this dispute has been won, inside or out of court. | duxy786_2
10/8/2012 08:14 | If you also do some research then you will find that the major holders have been loaning out the stock for the purpose of shorting , so they and some of us are making it at the expense of the blinkered rose tinters! | ![]() jotoha2
10/8/2012 08:12 | These guys are running this company as though they had a £50 million turnover with 15% bottom line , they are big spenders of cash and very small wealth creators! | ![]() jotoha2
10/8/2012 08:10 | Yeah and you've done that right? | duxy786_2
10/8/2012 08:09 | Duxy , its all in the accounts if you care to research! | ![]() jotoha2
10/8/2012 08:07 | Jotoha - justify your comment, re salaries/expenses??? | duxy786_2
10/8/2012 07:59 | Well the market is pricing this to run out of cash before any JV cash input, so its going to drift lower and lower, these guys are big on salaries and expenses , but with modest work ethic! | ![]() jotoha2
10/8/2012 07:40 | yes i also had impression RNS is worded in way that throws open the gauntlet, i.e. if you dispute the ownership of part of exploration license that another govt agency drew up it's legally watertight so in publicising the authorities' lack of cooperation they are putting pressure on them. i will consider writing to the british embassy in philippines highlighting this case. diplomatic pressure at national level has a wonderful way of affecting progress among regional bureaucrats | ![]() leoneobull

09/8/2012 22:49 | 'another fine mess'. put in the messy drawer with me STEL's and URU's. The fellas running these companies are a disgrace. | ![]() empirestate
09/8/2012 22:47 | On a positive note, if we go to court, the case wont last long, we have enough funds and the price of copper looks to move up in last quarter so a JV will get signed pretty much as we walk out of court so any price weakness i will be buying in to. All above is my opinion....lets hope we don't go to court and this gets sorted next week! Duxy786 | duxy786_2
09/8/2012 22:43 | Leoneobull - we were mearly discussing shorting as a whole, i understand shorting is not the problem for cdc regardless of what our recent deramping poster puts down. Shorting in itself is definately a problem IMO._Getting a JV is not going to happen whilst in dispute so we can forget about that one. IMO: The RNS is simply stating facts. Local law firms have confirmed, twice, that it is rightfully our asset, should it go to court, we can win this one so management are simply throwing it out there that they cant win this legally, its up to them if they wish to find out in court. My guess is we get an RNS very shortly either accepting its ours or we plan to take it to court. In my experiance, the last RNS was a warning for the latter, so its looks like we going to court boys n girls! | duxy786_2
09/8/2012 19:12 | i'm concerned about this but the rns is worded in such a way as to put the bureaucratic intransigence of the Philippine authorities out there & to make clear that they dont have a legal ground to stand on. i hope that this will get sorted since if the govt owned part of Basay why didnt they make this clear in the tendering for the license to exploit Basay? Duxy it is not shorting that is the problem it is the legal dispute combined with delay in getting a JV arranged that is the prob. | ![]() leoneobull
09/8/2012 16:19 | Can shorters do 'naked shorting' then? (not own the shares and not borrow them either). I find it wierd that someone will lend shares they own to see the price decimated! | ![]() nick rubens
09/8/2012 15:31 | Shorting will never end , its the accepted way of flushing out duff management , and this one is pretty good at being well below par! | ![]() jotoha2
09/8/2012 14:39 | jotoha2 - 8 Aug'12 - 18:28 - 345. Thanks for your comments, Still very much long here, missed out on the opportunity to by at lower level. So some will off load stock to put a stop to losses, thats live. End of day, if your not comfortable with loosing 50% of the value of your investment due to market irrationality then your not suited to invest in AIM. The only loss I have made totals to £1.1K, the T-Trade I opened couple of weeks ago here, rest I would not sell regardless of where this falls. Having said that, Only a couple of days ago, I took a 170% rise over at SAR on 65% of my holding there, so £1.5K loss is bearly anything to cry about! LOL Shorters think their so cleaver, cant wait until they put an end to this practice! | ![]() duxy786
09/8/2012 11:52 | Classic falling knife , beware of the likely pain , 5p on the cards now for sure , fantastic short since 28p , will cash up and go long once there is a change on the corporate front! | ![]() jotoha2

09/8/2012 07:33 | This is always labeled at international mining and O & G companies, however the fact of the matter remains that they need a) the experience of international mining companies b) there investment and cash resources and c) international/wester What stokes people up is when they hear about all the profits mining and O & G companies make...usually this is initiated by greedy local politicians who use the guise that the asset is the countries and not some western companies who are just there to plunder...the local gov/politicans then nationalise or expropriate the asset and enrich themselves, leaving the local populace even more destitute...meanwhil Look at Nigeria as an example. I dont buy the idea that western mining companies are bad...I think this is a clever ploy used by a few select locals to gain wealth for themselves. A western company is a very easy target. | ![]() the count of monte_cristo
08/8/2012 20:05 | Come along kiwi monk , we are not there to help them , we are there to plunder their assets and retreat rather quickly ! | ![]() jotoha2
