The Count
This is not a critisism, but 9167 @ 13.09, (£1200)
You saving up for your holidays or something, I expect you to be filling your boots at this price.
Ps When does closed period finish, thereabouts could be a good trigger point if this decline continues.

Exactly, I picked up a few more this am at 14.1p, only a tiny purchase. Todays drop, is I think, due to yesterdays late sale of shares.

csilondon - what points do you agree on and what points do you disagree with? be interested to know.

P.S. I understand that the company is currently in a closed period, which currently restricts the company from buying back shares.

I picked up 12,000 shares today @ 15p.

I also emailed Mitch Alland and asked him whether the company still intends to buy back shares...seeing as though the share price is now at an all time low now would seem a good time to start with this plan...

Copper Development Corporation - 15 December 2011

Share Buyback Programme and Project Update

The Board of Copper Development Corporation (AIM: CDC) has resolved to establish a share buyback programme. Accordingly, in accordance with its powers under the Company's articles of association, the Board has delegated the administration of the programme to an investment committee comprised of its Chairman, Chief Financial Officer and one Non-Executive Director. The investment committee will have the discretion, subject to any legal or regulatory requirements, to buy back up to 10 per cent. of the Company's issued shares over the next twelve months when the price at which the Company's shares trade is deemed by the investment committee to be at a significant discount to the Company's net asset value. It is the intention that any shares bought back will either be cancelled or re-issued at a later date.

willib - yep..all down to the rout in the global markets and especially the resource stocks and the decline in the copper price on short term fears over Europe and China...the latter consumes about 30% of the global supply of the metal. MNC, WTI, EMED have all experienced similar declines. Reminds me of 2008 when everyone thought the world was going to end and many investors said they would never invested in AIM stocks again...which actually was precisely the time to be buying as they then went on a massive bull run from the low of 2008 to 2010 with many resource stocks increasing in the hundreds of %. Personally, I will continue to add as and when funds permit, when the global markets turn up again, which granted may not be for sometime yet, these bombed out resource stocks should be well placed to go on a very good run, additionally with majors now sitting on huge cash piles expect an immenent wave of M & A across the resource sectors, with the largest projects being taken out first..so the likes of AFF, LOND, NCCL, CDC & MNC, ext on AIM.

A paper loss or gain is only cystalised when one sells there shares, so at the moment I am personally sitting on a significant paper loss, but I have been here many times before and note that shares can turn around just as quickly as they declined. As Buffett says if you cannot deal mentally with a decline in your stock of 50% then you should not invest in the stock market, he is dead right! Happy to wait to see CDC above 100p, reckon that may happen sometime in 2013.

CDC ----£1.50 by xmas. i need to recoup massive losses so a takeover by BHP, KAZ or similar should do job.
