12/3/2012 19:52 | ithink potential here is not yet realised. the good thing is that when it does start to attract investor attention....there will be a squeeze in share price since liquidity is so low...& thestock so tightly held by IIs ----some 70% plus circa. | ![]() leoneobull
12/3/2012 18:59 | Odd - we fall to 25.5p - 27.5p spread yet of the 360000 or so shares more than 227000 were at uncrossing of 29p! | ![]() leoneobull
09/3/2012 19:09 | Thanks for posting that linke Leoneobull, I concur with FD! I fully intend to keep adding all the way up to 75p, FD will need to upgrade there 102 price target if Basay is as big as the management seem to think it is! | ![]() the count of monte_cristo
09/3/2012 19:06 | Sticking with the base metals sector, news of an initial inferred resource of 131 million tonnes of 0.48% copper at Copper Development Corporation's (CDC) Basay copper project sent shares in the company 2p higher to 29p. The findings represent a significant increase in tonnage from the historic non-compliant estimate prepared in the January 2011 competent person's resort. Broker Fox Davies maintained its "buy" recommendation and 102p price target on the shares, and believes that CDC's prospective resources leave the company significantly undervalued. | ![]() leoneobull

09/3/2012 08:43 | This has always had the feel of an AIM sucess story. Not a foot wrong, cash, good management, world class asset...proving up nicely......all in a country where business can be done. The forcast JORC implied the scale was within a majors scope. Depending on future demand off course, you'll see this copper mine and by the looks of it thus far, quietly being bought. Good luck. | gerryjames
09/3/2012 08:16 | Excellent thanks Wardy, much appreciated, I actually think that the FD target price of 100p will look conservative come end of the year. I have posted a few messages which might be worth you reading (see above) also check out the broker notes and company presentation. One other positive, look at how many posters are currently posting on here...there are two of us, 3 including you :) Usually a very good sign for me. P.S. I picked up a few more at 30.5p | ![]() the count of monte_cristo
09/3/2012 08:07 | Count--I really don't know much about this company but looks interesting, bear in mind always that curruption is rife here in the Phllipines especially where anything involving contracts etc is involved. Minerals are untapped here large deposits to be found plus there is Oil/Gas off Palawan , will take a look at this company in depth many of my friends here work in Gold copper mines but not here, will forage around see if I can find out anything. | ![]() wardy333
09/3/2012 07:47 | Drill baby...drill :)) ...Under the current plan CDC continues to drill with five drill rigs on a 24 hour per day basis for a planned 22,910 metres as step out drilling to be completed by mid-2012. The budget for 2012 comprises a total of 44,000 metres and holes will be added where appropriate as information from the ongoing drilling is available. This new strategy of drilling extensions to mineralisation, rather than infill drilling, is aimed at increasing the resources at Basay to build a more substantial project. Resource estimates will be updated during the current year as part of the resource review process with a view to preparing a new JORC-compliant resource statement. | ![]() the count of monte_cristo
09/3/2012 07:43 | Nice update on Basay, 44,000m drill program planned for 2012, which will significantly increase todays resources base, all areas are currently open along strike and to depth....Basay is going to be huge, my view is that they will end up selling it to a major or Chinese entity for at least 1 billion US$, my time line on this is the end of 2013. If they sell Hinoba-an for 150-200 Million US$ (as FD reported) that will generate cash which is double the current market cap...plus they already have a very strong cash position. Leoneobull - thanks for reposting my post, the story has only just begun here. I stand by my view that CDC is the best copper play on AIM, in terms of bang for your buck, I think it offers the greatest potential for a share price increase due to exploration than any of the other AIM copper stocks. DYOR as always. | ![]() the count of monte_cristo
09/3/2012 07:14 | CDC - JORC compliant statement out today... CDC is best copper investment play on AIM, my bullish view is that the share price could increase 300 to 400% by the end of the year. They have plenty of cash, only have a few hundred million shares in issue and are looking to sell there smaller exploration project to focus on what could be a much more significant project. The management have a track record of developing assets and then selling them on. - Strong cash position - Only 220 million shares in issue - Current market cap is quite low and share price is deflated - Looking to potentially sell or JV the Hinoba-an project, if they sell it my view is that it could fetch 200 US$ million, which is approximately twice the market cap! - The big one for me, the Basay project could become a monster, and could cause a serious increase in the share price, it could be of serious interest I am less positive on; - Location - Philippines - although MML seem to do well!! - Delivery dates of announcements are consistently late....the company have put this down to the labs being busy FD have a target price of 100p. | ![]() leoneobull

"If we continue getting the fantastic intercepts we have been getting we will try to accelerate the programme - it may go to 60-80,000 metres," said Alland. "The difference is 44,000 metres might take it to 500 million tonnes. With 60-80,000 we might make it to 1 billion tonnes - now that is a very large project. "How long we take to prove it up who knows? If it is 1 billion tonnes then we might be able do to it in the next year. If it is 4 billion it will take longer." | ![]() the count of monte_cristo

05/3/2012 21:23 | The Count. welcome i hope so since i have lost a fortune on stock market and a nice 400% rise would recoup my losses. why a man who has detected potential of CDC would invest in YELL i dont know but CDC has strong potential. nice we achieved a 5% rise in falling mkt today. | ![]() leoneobull
05/3/2012 10:30 | In my personal opinion, CDC is the best copper investment on AIM. I see the potential for a 400% increase in the share price by the end of the year. For me the potential far exceeds that of WTI, MNC, CAML, FML & DME. Time will tell I suppose. Regards, The Count. | ![]() the count of monte_cristo

16/2/2012 08:12 | Copper Development Corporation has made the following announcement today: Strategic Focus Now on Basay Project Highlights Strategy now to focus on the Basay Project in recognition of excellent drill results underscoring the potential for Basay to emerge as a major copper project and in response to the interest exhibited in Basay by several major international mining companies; and Issuance of a comprehensive technical report on the Hinoba-an Project in the short term to support a trade sale or joint venture of the project. Copper Development Corporation (AIM: CDC) is pleased to announce that its strategy is now to focus on the Basay Project and, consequently, plans to pursue a trade sale or joint venture of the Hinoba-an Project following the issuance shortly of a comprehensive technical report (the "Report") on the project. Continuing excellent drill results at the Basay Project are showing long, high-grade intersections that, together with magnetic and induced polarisation ground surveys, increasingly support the structural model for the continuity of mineralisation in the deposits and the potential for Basay to develop into a major world class copper project. CDC's change in strategy is also being made in response to recent interest in Basay shown by several international mining companies. The Hinoba-an Report will include an updated JORC compliant resource estimate, pit optimisation and mining studies, metallurgical reports, flow sheets for processing, plant design and tailings storage facilities design as well as reports on infrastructure, including water, roads and the port facilities. The Report will be sufficient and appropriate for marketing the Hinoba-an Project to mining companies for a potential trade sale or joint venture since mining companies generally take their own view on a project's implementation and development and operating costs. This is supported by the initial discussions that CDC has had with interested parties. The issuance of the Hinoba-an Reportwill allow the Company to publish the results of its recent work on the project and avoid any further delays which would be incurred to meet the standards of a formal pre-feasibility study. The Hinoba-an Reportwill be issued within eight weeks, the critical path item being the new resource statement that is expected to show a further increase in resources. The revised resource estimate will be issued by the geological consultant shortly after assays are completed on the remaining half of the 44 holes that were drilled after the last resource statement was announced on 27 October 2011. The Basay Project is located 25km southeast of CDC's Hinoba-an Project and comprises four known areas of mineralisation: the Central, Northwest, Nabore and Southeast deposits. Drill results to date continue to confirm the presence of long drill intervals of significant high grade copper-gold-silver-m Mitch Alland, Executive Chairman of CDC, commented: "We continue to be excited by the excellent drill results received so far at Basay. The report on Hinoba-an will allow us shortly to begin marketing the Hinoba-an Project for a trade sale or joint venture. The Company believes that directing its technical and financial resources to the Basay project going forward, in light of its potential to be a world class copper project, will accelerate its potential development and maximize value for shareholders."
