Basay Exploration Programme

A total of 21,946 metres of drilling was completed at Basay in 2011 and the Company remains on track to publish a maiden JORC/NI 43-101 compliant resource in January 2012. A programme of 44,000 metres is currently planned for Basay in 2012 with five rigs currently operating at site.

As stated in the Company's announcement on 12 October 2011, a ground magnetics survey has recently been completed and a high degree of correlation between the location of known ore bodies and magnetic lows has been identified (see Figure 1).

A soil geochemical survey has also been completed and the assay results received. The Company is now compiling the soil geochemical map, and this, in conjunction with the geophysical data, will underpin the 2012 drilling programme at Basay.

CDC is well funded for its continued programmes at Basay and Hinoba-an with cash on hand of approximately GBP17.1 million as at 30 December 2011.

Mitch Alland, Executive Chairman of CDC, commented:

"With hole 15 showing the best intersection at Nabore to date with a copper equivalent grade of 1.11% and including a high-grade section of 14.3 metres with 5.47% copper, and with hole 19 at the Northwest deposit containing a high-grade section of 9 metres with a copper equivalent of 3.60% as well as magnetic and induced polarisation ground surveys indicating the potential for the discovery of major further ore bodies on the tenement, Basay continues its promise of providing a major, world class play for CDC."

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm........ another late trade there at the bell - 400k - I reckon it was a BUY from this morning; a SELL of that size would knock the s/p.

Intriguing...........somebody's very keen on these.

Climbing again nicely - it doesn't take much volume to push the price on.

I can see a gradual stepped rise to 30p here - not much stock about it would appear.
