30/4/2024 16:55 | Hilarious - the gold trends were SO BIG that Demir and AAZ couldn't handle the incredible scale of opportunity, so they WALKED AWAY having wasted their money. Bejasus that's as funny as I've ever read here. Talk about the delusion of being invested in something but not being emotionally mature enough to recognise that your investment has evaporated. Explains how Con Roy keeps pulling in the suckers in his keep the lights on and dream alive do or die placements. | craftyspeculator
30/4/2024 16:54 | Ah so you sort of understand, penny maybe dropped then, well done DM | robemy
30/4/2024 16:51 | Yeah right! "Boys, we have to walk away from this one, it's too big" "But boss, we already spent €5 mil and have a deal to take majority ownership!". "I hear you, but Professor Conroy says it's huge, not just one but TWO gold trends. The billionaire Koc family are saying it's simply too big for us and we have to walk away before it swallows us up. Take a 2% royalty and let someone bigger than us do all the hard work". "But boss, the boys and girls on ADVFN were so pleased two years ago that someone as big and serious as Demir and the Koc family did a deal with their little company." "I know but it overwhelmed us. TWO gold trends man, we had no idea it could be so tough" | diamond_mountain
30/4/2024 16:37 | Must we point out the obvious? 2 gold trends of district scale are too much for either of them to effectively deal with.A bigger partner incoming | robemy
30/4/2024 16:22 | By your own logic, neither AAZ nor Demir are stupid - and they both walked away from this. Demir after having spent €5 mil on the thing. What does that tell you? | diamond_mountain
30/4/2024 16:00 | Just 15,000 shares available at 9.5p then it goes higher. Early sellers overhang seems to have cleared. | broken_arrow1
30/4/2024 15:53 | Exactly, why would Dimer spent 5m on a dud unless u believe they are extremely stupid and they could have walked at any time. They didn't and obviously saw something. It doesn't make it any less painful though or disappointing to buyers looking for a return. CGNR as all junior mining companies are gambles on the possible and the what ifs, some win, some loose. | goggin
30/4/2024 15:03 | Fact is both Demir and Anglo Asian Mining were attracted to Conroy, having met AAZ management personally I can you that they have excellent geologists and would not have been interested if the project was a dud. Demir spent £5.5m, they are no mugs either. There is no doubt Conroy (let alone the market) were disenchanted by the lack of progress/enthusiasm by Demir. Conroy has stated he wants to build a mine and one suspects it was the Prof who ousted them in the knowledge there is a larger and more determined outfit wanting in. I suspect it will not be too long before we get to find out, no wonder the stock is attracting buyers at these very low levels. | mininglamp
30/4/2024 14:48 | We are most grateful for your warning based on an alleged event in 2004. I will sell my holding immediately, thanks | robemy
30/4/2024 14:35 | robemy....try this (1) I spoke to Prof Conroy back in 2004 about the prospects of a mine and was a supporter of the company / small shareholder (2) he lied about the timeline and plan (3) I asked a family friend who is a Canadian gold mining geologist to run his eye over the grades and outline project costings. He said that the data was incomplete (no chance of a BFS), the grades reported were abysmal to poor, and the project had no chance of getting off the ground. I'm here as a warning. I was the idiot back in 2004 and managed to sell out for break even on a spike but it was a lucky escape. The Prof is a rinse, repeat merchant who has sucked incredible amounts of cash out of this company without ever producing any gold, diamonds or minerals of any sort, and zero prospect of doing so. Moral of the story is that I did lots of research belatedly. Do it before investing here. Buy a lottery ticket. At least you know the odds are factual. | craftyspeculator
30/4/2024 14:23 | The grades were economic with a $1300 gold price so you obviously aren't doing your research. Best of luck with your investments. | robemy
30/4/2024 14:18 | Robemy saying these grades are economic at today's prices shows you have no clue. But I understand what you are doing, trying to ramp this to recover some value. Pointless though, the market knows all about Conroy and this project once again has been shown to be an abject failure. | diamond_mountain
30/4/2024 14:07 | Of course the company will talk up interest. Their JV partner just walked after spending a massive sum and coming up with nothing new. Conroy needs to come up with cash quick. | diamond_mountain
30/4/2024 12:58 | There's nothing crafty about your speculating here. Totally missing the point and every part of your post is incorrect. Good luck with whatever you decide to invest in. | robemy
30/4/2024 12:48 | BS continues | kaos3
30/4/2024 12:38 | Looks like Greatland might be coming into play over the next year or so too, another one which has collapsed since the great covid gold rush )-; | goggin
30/4/2024 12:22 | The grades are uneconomic. Even extrapolated the entire gold trend doesn't move the needle for any gold major, so there is no change of a Newmont or Barrick having an interest here, despite the delusions of robemy and richgit. Finally, I can tell you all that even if the grades were proven and economic, there is zero chance of achieving planning consent for an open pit mine in North Monaghan / South Armagh. | craftyspeculator
30/4/2024 11:53 | " Visiting " is a world away from due diligence and signing on the dotted line . Which is why so many walk away and continue to do so. (Even after they sign on the dotted line it seems. ) | vish65
30/4/2024 11:07 | You are entitled to your opinion no matter how misguided or biased it may be DM. How silly can all these partners discussing and visiting us be? | robemy
30/4/2024 11:02 | Gold cos are in demand, yet regrettably at the moment in opportunistic bids whilst the Market is still asleep. No I am not suggesting Conroy is due any bid, just relating to the fact that Bigger producers need more and more Gold, meaning more and more good prospective situations, and Bids for others, which at some pont I believe will become "name you price". I recently got screwed with Shanta Gold.SHG. (one of my biggest holdings)albeit still at a profit-yet considering my first Target was 40p- a huge considered theft of blatant Market shenanigans in the stock. Conroy certainly has provable Gold and huge potential Gold. I have money to re-invest and many Targets, especially in the Precious Metal Graveyards of Canada-even $Billion stocks that are seriously undervalued. I will buy more Conroy "If" Mr Conroy can back up the above posted Interview. No more posts Until then ....! | richgit
30/4/2024 10:53 | The golden goose has just walked after spending €5 mil showing that the projects are duds after all. Presumably whoever did their due diligence no longer works for Demir after this expensive mistake. Noone will want this now. | diamond_mountain
30/4/2024 10:50 | You just look silly now robemy | diamond_mountain
30/4/2024 10:44 | Crazyworld215 Apr '24 - 10:15 - 11496 of 11516 Major re rate about to happen. Yes indeed. It just happened. | vish65
30/4/2024 10:41 | Probably more interest now that they have 100% again and the price of gold at all time highs.Suspect this exit was on the cards months ago hence the visit to Canada and PDAC | robemy
30/4/2024 10:33 | It is ,regrettably, not unlikely that Demir have their problems in Turkey. Let us see if Mr Conroy can back up his statements in this particular interview. Does He still have interest from others !? | richgit |
