Very little stock available on the offer right now, the fall from 13p hit on 11th March was on very low volume which suggests it will not take much to move it back up.

I love being a contrarian investor, stocks like this can generate amazing returns if your entry point is right.

Only 26m shares in issue.

Conroy Petroleum was successful before Arcon. Galmoy was a large high grade deposit. Borderline world class. Anyone could have made a success of it. By comparison Clontibret is low grade and complex.

As an investor back then, it was clear from the drill intercepts that Galmoy was special. Clontibret isn't.

Which Conroy company moved from 10p to over £3? Was that the one where he fell out with Tony O'Reilly, which was renamed. After they got shot of him Arcon went on to be a huge success

i'm with you on that analysis chrysos, particularly when you see the types of deals that majors have been doing - Newmont with Orosur and Greatland being good reference examples

It typically takes 10,000-20,000m of drilling to prove up 1Moz in the indicated category, especially at average grades in the 2-5g/t range. At £150+ per metre, that is around £2M per million ounces (and that is direct drilling cost, not G&A and "overhead").

Majors are not generally interested in anything less than 3-5Moz, especially where the deposit is in a completely new territory (establishment cost) and the time-line is long (high regulatory hurdles).

What kind of deal is any Major going to cut, where they will have to fund a minimum of £5-10M, before needing to invest £100'sM+++ on a dubious, and low grade, long lead-time project?

Given CGNR has clearly run out of steam and funds and is now worth less than £2M, 70% looks optimistic to me. But I'm sure the post-PDAC delay in organizing site visits and initiating negotiations will be excused away by the CV19 lockdown, just like last year's...

Hi Observer007: I agree with all the "If's" in your assessment - the troublesome bit is that the interviews and newspaper articles have been done year in year out for so many years that the credibility has dropped. There is always the hint of being on he cusp of bringing in a major partner, but Prof Conroy's professional track record of partnering is something you should look up. Long termers remember his previous bletherings about getting phone calls from Russian oligarchs, and hints about Canadian gold companies partnering. Previous share price spikes have come and gone. That being said his age profile coinciding with a high gold price means that if he can't strike a deal right now in 2020 he never will. His problem is that the deal will likely involve having to give up 60%/70%/more in return for serious exploration funding

I freely admit Conroy is not a company that I would usually invest in but I do believe there comes a time when something has to change.

I watched the last 2 interviews (both on Proactive) Professor Conroy was very precise, he talked about development as opposed to exploration, he is confident of securing a partner once due process is over, the site visits also back this up.

The feature in the Irish Independent also suggests a JV deal is imminent, with only 26m shares issued it is nigh impossible to build a position unless it is staged, at current levels (around 7p) the fall from the recent 18p represents an opportunity.

If a JV partner is announced this £2m-£3m company could attain £50m+ status, that would give current investors a life changing return.

You need to be in it to win it !!

In respect of the Joint Venture make your own mind up, Prof Conroy says they are hosting site visits, with gold at current levels you can rule nothing out.

If a JV is announced the shares will rocket.

I prefer to ignore the negativity I wish you and any newbies here all the very best with it.

Dozens of P&D gimps have come and gone here over the years and been sent packing with their tails between their legs - as most, if not all, LTHs will attest to.

Just be sure to do proper research and take a good, hard look at the long and not so great history of this sorry lifestyle outfit and don't get caught out 👍

It's ticking up slowly with no chart resistance to 12p and very little after that to 16p.

Very hard to buy in the market which is usually a good sign.

Gold flying now, all boats will rise, I prefer to ignore the negativity and ride the wave, can see this moving towards 12p pretty quickly & would not rule out 18p either.

Fortunes can be made in the junior space if you get the timing right.

Only 26m shares issued - only valued at £2m

forget trading these...almost no volume daily until the odd spike volume about once a year but that's it. Beware Goggin. Even newbies will know that a company that hasn't produced a single ounce of gold in 25 years as a listed company is probably NOT sitting on the largest unrealised gold asset in Europe if not the world. Hilarious stuff, unless you are a shareholder.

The most accurate thing the company could do right now is amend the company name from Conroy Gold and Natural Resources to just "Conroy" or just "Con" as that would (1) be more accurate (2) reflect the real focus of the company and (3)stop mug punters thinking that there is any economic gold or natural resources to chase here

Gold is the right sector currently, Conroy is a marmite stock but good money can be made trading it, currently a decent entry level to target that 17p-18p recent high.

Bought in last week, Gold is the sector to be in, hard to buy any decent line of stock in Conroy at the best of times.

Recent interviews imply a joint venture deal is not a million miles away.

Can see this returning to 15p-20p range short term.

There is money to be made here, ignore the trolls, this traded at 18p recently for a reason.

IF they do get a JV deal, as Conroy has hinted, the shares will go to £1+

Gold futures up to $1760oz

All the juniors will benefit, so many are in the gutter, but not for much longer.

Only 23m shares issued in CGNR, no wonder the stock has peaks and troughs on light volume.

Gold now well established above $1700oz, in the gold space all boats usually rise eventually, bought this back in Q4 2017 around 12p and it rose to 40p - made a nice profit.

May buy a few tomorrow.
