LOL@Goldeneye. For someone who described the loss of 6 trough-slurpers as a victory for Conroy he's very angry. He talks of dissidents failing. CGNR has already failed abysmally. How someone can defend a huge bod who caused a 99% + drop in share price is beyond me. As for bringing your KDR lickspittles onto this bb, carry on.

Conroy is so untrustworthy rebels have to seek injunctions to stop him from playing dirty and TO STOP HIM FROM EVEN MORE DILUTION AT SHAREHOLDERS' EXPENSE.

Anyway, as I have repeatedly stated: without this rebellion nothing would have changed and shareholders would continue to be milked with no prospect of a mine. Now, regardless of who the bod ends up having on it,there's at least hope.

On a more philosophical note I wonder just how destroyed a person's investment has to be for some loon to acknowledge there's a problem. My only conclusion is that GoldenEye and his lickspittle s are concerned about their KDR investment. They couldn't care less about shareholders in CGNR. Just like Conroy.

That shows how much they value shareholders.Patrick o Sullivan wants all 9 members of the board gone. Patrick is getting a little big for his boots. He got a little big for his boots when he went to court for the odyssey cinemas case in Belfast some time ago. Mind you he likes to go to court.Popular vote is with the prof and co. Yes the few large shareholders had the % to remove the 6 against the wishes of the majority of shareholders.

You any thoughts on the John Teeling involvement here or did you already know about that before the meeting. I certainly didn't had no idea he was involved until Friday.

After the prof ´sodomised democracy´ (something everyone should condemn) why would O´ Sullivan want him/them around???

Being the scum he is, prof will try and defeat the motion by any means possible.....ethics, principles, morals, fiduciary duty be damned!!

So O Sullivan wants all board gone and Paul Johnson and Gervais Heddle on the board. Then it would seem they would instal John Teeling as chairman.Paul Johnson and Gervais Heddle, the proposed directors who didn't bother to show up at the meeting.......how did that go down with shareholders.Now after saying he wanted the prof to continue as chairman with Maureen jones and Garth Earls to remain should o Sullivan, Johnson and Heddle be installed as directors. But now it appears o Sullivan does not want them to remain. My how that quickly changed, now that they did not get on the board. In other words they really wanted to take over the company by the back door. When they found out there was an extra security lock on the back door, they decided to try and break down the front door. All the while John Teeling was behind the wheel in the car out front. Is this what shareholders want. I think not!It won't happen, I can assure you. But shareholders should know exactly what John Teeling, o Sullivan and the other two are up to!

These are exciting times for CGNR. Either Prof Conroy moves forward to take the gold out like Galantis, near Omagh and Dalradian, near Newtownstewart are doing in the North of Ireland or a new board will take over and they will start to remove the gold at speed. Looks like a few keen poachers are lurking. Will the professor hold on or sell his share.
I see more positives than negatives with the company valued at £2.48m compared to GAL £9.6m and DALR £228m. CGNR could have a massive amount of gold in this 65km stretch.

It would be a mistake to try to remove Garth Earls from the board - he has the technical experience necessary - ex Geological Survey of Northern Ireland, ex Dalradian

And in the meantime, not much progress will be made towards actually doing anything about proving up the gold they claim to have in the ground........ They are probably "loving it".... Probably the most exciting thing that has happened at CGNR for years....... And I mean years.......

On a different note, does anybody on here follow Dalradian ( the geologist's eyes must water when he sees the grades they refer to!!!!!!,)?

The MTR investment in Conroy was under PJs reign he is no longer part of MTR. MTR are basically getting out of most of PJs investments.

Thanks for elaborating, Goldeneye. I wouldn't spend too much time pondering TW's reading of events, the bloke goes where the benefit is to him imo.

I've been concerned about the genuineness of the PJ GH proposals since MTR declared their reduced holding. Now with Teeling coming into the frame and PJ stocking up with Teeling's CON shares, it's clear things may not be all they seemed. I'm sure O'Sullivan is a good businessman but he wouldn't necessarily have the contacts to put mining sector deals together so if Gervais and PJ backed off he'd be a bit isolated. Teeling would add weight but then again he hasn't performed for his own shareholders so far.

As ad1967 said above, proper little mini soap and you can't as yet predict the outcome.

I notice that Tom W didn't even mention Mr Teeling. How well informed was he about the meeting as everyone at the meeting knows and saw this all play out. How well informed was Tom W, or how well informed did he choose to be! It's a big point to fail to mention. He also didn't mention the no show by Paul Johnson and Gervais Heddle at the meeting. There was no explanation or apology for their no show. One would think that this along with the proposed directors lack of any proposed plan put forward would have made Tom W at least pause for thought. TW knows and has said it many times before that Conroy and M Jones are good, honest people and that he has a great fondness for them. To abandon this opinion so quickly to me looks like he took the easy option with his latest article. I will hazard a guess that his opinion may soften again soon as he realises what really just happened. All in good time.
