Connemara Mining (LON:CON)
Connemara, the exploration company with principal assets in Ireland in base metal zinc/lead exploration licences as well as shear hosted gold exploration licences, has raised £315,000 and settled liabilities of £136,500 through the issue of 9m ordinary shares at a price of 5p. The net proceeds will fund further work on the Company's portfolio of exploration projects in Ireland and pay on-going corporate costs. As part of this fundraise, the Company's directors Dr John Teeling and Mr James Finn, have each agreed that a proportion of accrued unpaid fees owed to them by Connemara will be settled via the issue of new shares at the issue price.

What are your thoughts on this?

"6. To consider and if thought fit, pass the following special resolution:
That the Directors be and are hereby empowered pursuant to Sections 23 and 24(1) of the Companies (Amendment) Act 1983 to allot equity securities within the meaning of said Section 23 FOR CASH (EMPHASIS ADDED) pursuant to the authority conferred by resolution 5 above, as if Section 23(1) of the said Act did not apply to any such allotment, provided that this power shall expire on 28th July 2016 unless and to the extent that such authority is renewed, revoked or extended prior to such date, save that the Company may before such expiry make an offer or arrangement which would or might require securities to be allotted after such expiry and the Directors may allot equity securities in pursuance of such an offer or agreement as if the power conferred by this paragraph has not expired."

Try sorting out the accounts of your own company and having a long hard think as to why 22 of yours have gone to the wall.

Why would Hardy want a bid @5p

The BOD/CON would certainly get majority control at worst

If they did not get 80%..the Irish threshold for compulsory buyout, they would delist and run the company off market.

He knows that, so why the bluster ?.

It just shows how ill-thought out is the action against CON. Why pick on a company where the directors have all just made millions of euros in Cooley Whiskey? they will defend their assets, against a company like Trampus that is in default by not providing any accounts! All in good time. Travelling at the moment. But I can say that neither I nor Trampus took any shares in the placing or I would of course have lodged a TR-1 before the market opened.
