15/5/2013 09:59 | Some of my preferred quotes from the judgement: Paragraph 46: "...questions about the Petitioner's credibility and concerns about his purpose in presenting the petition are certainly raised." Paragraph 49: "...the Petitioner's assertion that...it is highly unlikely that the Company will be able to raise significant funds through a share issue in the near future. Apart from its speculative nature, that contention would seem to be at variance with the Petitioner's own activity after 28th June, 2012 in enlarging its shareholding....At this point in time the Company does not need to raise funding to discharge its debts as they fall due." And my personal favourite: Paragraph 19: "....Notwithstanding that, taking an overview of the position adopted by the Petitioner, it has to be said that it is so fundamentally riddled with inconsistencies and clear contradictions, that a question inevitably arises as to the Petitioner's true intention." I for one am very interested in what you have to say sallad. | ruthie

14/5/2013 07:36 | Syria: The Next Domino to Fall? Is a Major US-NATO Military Intervention Looming? Israeli intelligence announced last month that they had evidence of the Syrian government using chemical weapons. An independent UN investigation however could not substantiate these claims. To the contrary, Commission member Carla Del Ponte announced that chemical weapons more likely were used by the rebel groups. Adding to the tensions was the recent airstrikes by Israel against Syrian targets, claiming the lives of 300 soldiers according to some estimates. Legitimate concerns have been raised about human rights violations in Syria. However, history has proven that geo-strategy, control of resources, and military positioning are higher priorities for the major powers. | homeboy35
13/5/2013 21:45 | No just having a little fun at your expense. So when might the Trampus accounts finally get filled then, or am I being a little presumptuous in assuming that they will get filled. It looks to me like you may end up being hoisted by your own petard. | mike111d

12/5/2013 12:15 | So where might this leave Trampus and the late filing of their accounts, which I recall where delayed pending the outcome of this hearing. Perhaps it would be prudent for Trampus to await confirmation of any costs to be awarded against them. | mike111d
12/5/2013 06:36 | Sunday 12 May 2013 Connemara Mining plc, whose executive chairman is Mr Teeling, insisted the company was solvent and able to pay its debts. It had opposed a winding-up petition brought by UK mining finance company Trampus Ltd, which is the largest single shareholder in Connemara at 6.32 pc. Mr Teeling and another director, James Finn, who both also opposed the winding up as creditors, own 7.78pc between them. Trampus argued it should be wound up because it was insolvent and that it would be just and equitable to do so. The company and the directors said no grounds had been demonstrated for winding up on a just and equitable basis and it was able to pay its debts when they fall due. | harrissen |
