20/6/2020 10:25 | ....well the market clearly isn't buying it.... | dexdringle
20/6/2020 08:59 | 21st May video is very clear Compensation is also very clear, factual No cheating, no ramson: 20% excavated material to owner of land if he/she is a miner to compensate for lifetime loss of earnings. All good, changing deeds takes time Nicaraguan mining Law is clear, cnr could force purchase of land if there is not an agreement to a fair offer. A 20% of ore as compensation, some of it excavated from 200m depth, sounds to me as a fair compensation bcs artesanal miners Could no do it by themselves in a life time. The 20% ore compensation is only if land owener is an artesanal miner. Lawyers are working with the law in their hands Everyday it passes we are getting closer | book5
19/6/2020 23:12 | It was for you but it could apply to both. It’s like the ridiculous pre brexit negotiations when labour and others wanted a running commentary on what we were doing which meant the EU knew our position before the meetings. If the villagers think we have 90% then the remaining 10% will think they can hold Condor to ransom. Let Mark do his job and he will tell us when it’s done. | 888icb
19/6/2020 22:24 | 888 was that comment for me or book? | sherwood58
19/6/2020 21:56 | I assume you are not familiar with negotiating to make that statement. Mark knows what he is doing and a running commentary is not helpful. | 888icb
19/6/2020 20:15 | @book5 - if we own more than 65% of the land, why wouldn't mark say that in his latest presentation? It doesn't make sense for him to play it down? | sherwood58
18/6/2020 16:04 | We own a much higher % of land rights | book5
18/6/2020 15:19 | I watched yesterday’s 20 minute presentation , and I thought Mark Child came across as relaxed and as confident as I have ever seen him , both in his presentation and his body language . Perhaps , that is not surprising . He has just raised £6.4m net at 36.5p , and an additional £1m via warrant exercising . With the proceeds , he will be able to complete the land purchases , and the engineering studies for the La India project , and put a deposit down on a processing plant , whilst still entertaining the prospect of a toll mining deal with Calibre Mining . Interestingly , this latter point got a lot more airtime last night than expected . Could it be that Calibre Mining is feeling the effects of at least 2 months of closure of its operations thanks to coronavirus together with the ongoing mothballed ball mill at its La Libertad mine , and is looking more seriously at a toll deal with Condor now that its 2 satellite pits are fully permitted ? Condor has 100% of the land around Mestiza , the highest grade pit of the two , and , subject to some quick in-fill drilling , it would be oven ready for a toll deal . This property currently has 600/- tonnes of ore at 5.76 g/t for 111/- oz of gold , and , if you assume around $55 total costs per tonne for a typical 1000 tonne per day mining/processing operation , and at , say , a very conservative 92% recovery , costs per ounce of gold produced might only be around the $350 region for Mestiza , before factoring in the cost of trucking the ore to Calibre’s plant at the La Libertad mine . Therefore , the economics of a toll deal would seem to be most compelling , and openly talking about this potential win win situation for both parties has the added benefit of putting the Calibre board under pressure from its own shareholders to strike a deal . Condor has now bought 65% of the surface rights for the La India project with offers out for the remaining 35% at a time when Nicaragua’s economy is starting to creak under the weight of the coronavirus . Mark Child therefore remains confident of having 100% of the surface rights by Christmas , by which time all engineering studies should also be complete . He also confirmed that Condor was in advance negotiations to buy a secondhand processing plant , and that should these negotiations fail , Condor would buy a brand new 1000 tpd plant from China instead . Either way , Condor expects to be assembling the plant and building the mine early in 2021 . Coronavirus effects plus the recent cash raise put him in an excellent negotiating position . If Condor were to pull off a sensible toll deal with Calibre , it would not only revolutionise and accelerate the project economics , but it would have a hugely positive effect on the share price , particularly as the market is not expecting one . Even without a toll deal , the project economics are compelling , and at least 3 research notes still have valuations North of 100p per share . | bomber13
18/6/2020 14:25 | Strong buying today with some big trades of upto 50000. Probably quieter this afternoon as people watch the Gold Cup at Royal Ascot! | 888icb
18/6/2020 12:16 | I Watched Interview from the 21st May (available cnr website) very good. There was talk in village, company was asking For 500 cv Then cnr kick out many artesanal miners from other villages with help of the police, share went up. I wonder if they were planning to clean the site from mercury contamination Then all was called off, apparently due coronavirus, no sure though... | book5
18/6/2020 12:05 | Looking better at the moment UP 3.5% on volume of 250000. Perhaps Mark has sparked a little interest with his Canada presentation yesterday. We haven’t in the past had much interest from Canada even though it is a market that has a lot of interest in gold.It may be that Mark is trying to catch the attention of Canadian gold companies as potential buyers of Condor. It would certainly put CNR firmly on the radar if it received a bid or two even if they were not succesful. | 888icb
18/6/2020 08:27 | As I said before Frustrating period due coronavirus I suspect plan for site clearance was suspended due quarentine , same with purchases of land. These activities will restart when crise passes I am planning to buy more shares when funds available All good but the share price | book5
17/6/2020 21:53 | Volume of 347000 and according to the figures slightly more buys than sells but down 1p.we need some news to get this moving north again. | 888icb
15/6/2020 12:28 | A very slow morning down 1.9% on very low volume of just 34000 on a bad day for the markets. | 888icb
15/6/2020 09:27 | You can prove almost any investment thesis — as long as you can cherry-pick the start date. | meanreverter
15/6/2020 07:14 | Since Friday Ftse futures 2.87% down Gold less than 1% down I believe huge swings to general market coming I am keeping faith in gold In regards cnr, I hope insiders have muscle to absorve paper at placement level 36p if needed. I believe we are for a Frustrating period till end of quarentine, but re-rating of juniors could come to our courtyard. Relax, markets are in a mild storm, it should be good for the gold sector. | book5
15/6/2020 05:49 | Which has been the better investment since September 2011: Gold or Cnr? | divmad
12/6/2020 18:05 | I'm happy to be proved wrong '888ICB' as long as the share price goes up I don't care a jot. ATB & GLA! | connect5
12/6/2020 17:27 | I don’t think that is entirely accurate as the gold price spiked 10 years ago and reached a high in September 2011. So when Condor was flying 10 years ago the gold price was also high before falling back for some years before the start of the current gold price rise which has clearly helped Condor and many other gold companies. | 888icb
12/6/2020 15:55 | Unfortunately our share price has never followed the gold price when it's been positive as we're not a producer. However in the decade or so I've held the share we certainly got kicked in the shins when gold was low share price wise! Mild rant over;-) | connect5
12/6/2020 15:30 | This one is becoming somewhat frustrating. Gold is doing quite well. | 1airbag
12/6/2020 06:35 | Probably still some of the placees selling shares and getting a free ride through their warrants. Nice work if you can get it. | divmad
11/6/2020 19:18 | The third 100000 Buy of the day went through seconds before the close at 40.125p. The volume was 580000 of which those 3 Buys accounted for 300000. Good to see the large trades just a shame they aren’t taking it higher. | 888icb
11/6/2020 16:23 | No sure if in two months, but it is most most probably coming up to £2,5 and beyond, patience | book5
11/6/2020 16:18 | Interesting to look at Greatland Gold GGP it was 4p at the start of April and 12p today. If Condor can do the same in the next 2 months that would be 40p to 120p Which would put us about right. Not saying it’s directly comparable but it just shows it can be done! | 888icb |
