In Feb and May of this year, judging by the large chart at the top of this page, we were also down in this price range and bounced back strongly both times. Probably will be no different this time.

Nothing has fundamentally changed with CNR....just sector negativity to resource stocks.

Hi jeansey2 ~ close your computer or investigate CNR after the next RNS... Alternatively, sell at what may be the bottom and think of something else = move on

Not even the overnight rise in POG has helped here. I fear something is happening that we dont know about. Only time will tell but im not sure how much more i'm willing to lose in the mean time!

Down another 5%. I think the issue is that nothing to effect the sp, positively, is currently happening

Don't worry jeansey2 = sentiment is a grim as it gets, yet the pog is shooting up (as I write). We may get a low-ball bid: whereupon another will top it etc. The pog has yet to move and properly, so hang on in here a while longer and methinks we'll all be rewarded = don't listen to those with shorts or who're de-ramping.

This really has become serious now! I thought that the 90p placing and the PFs would steady the ship. How wrong could i be! Those of us that have been here a long time will be losing a packet. To be quite honest i am way past ever believing i will break even here never mind making some money. I am learning another painfull aim lesson. The question is where is the support level? Todays drop on small volume seems a bit harsh but no-one wants to throw good money after bad here. Anyone expecting a bid , may get one but who in there right minds will pay more than £1 with us now sitting at 69p. Any good news we get is just ignored by the market. I really dont know how things are going to turn around here.

Yanikto, you have copied the same stuff onto the boards of many gold stocks. You may be right but then again as it sounds that you've shorted big time, me thinks there will be much brown ore oozing from your pants if this turns against you. I don't think many of us will miss your insightful posts.

As mentioned elsewhere, Yanikto, you're copying then pasting your shorts = all over. Obvious, because you rather over-do it..........

edit: likewise, the world would not stop tomorrow if you decided to make an exit...

Methinks that Central Bankers don't lose sleep over the POG!

They understand that gold does not equal money.

It is very hard to get goldbugs to understand that money is a concept of units of value. And they only have value if both parties to a transaction agree on the units value.

Ever tried to pass a used and crumpled $ 100 bill in the CIS. People won't accept it. So your stack of US Bills becomes worthless.

I've been in the US and sometimes people wouldn't accept a $100 bill or large amounts of cash as they assumed that either the source of funds was illicit or I was trying to pass off counterfeit bills.

Many places people won't accept gold as a means of settlement as the hassle of converting gold into something that you can actually use to make purchases (i.e. paper money or a debit / credit card) is too great.

I have travelled around the world and the most useful item to have is a Visa Debit or credit card. With this card, I have bought everything from air tickets, hotel rooms, diving lessons, souvenirs, clothes, food, etc. etc... All because the other party is willing to accept the accounting numbers that are transferred from my account to his account, including into currencies that I have no idea of what the unit value is.

The idea that somehow in the near future, gold will replace fiat money is just caveman thinking!

There no need to dig out a single gram of gold from the earth. The world will not stop if every single gold mine shut down tomorrow. You cannot say that about any other metal.

Have a look at this chart and tell me what a chartist would say about the "head & Shoulders" of the POG
