Manipulated down on very low volume and now buyers picking up cheaper stock.

Pattern Description

This is a top reversal pattern with two candlesticks. A white candlestick appears on the first day while an uptrend is in progress. The second day opens at a new high, with a gap up and closes more than halfway into the prior white body, leading to the formation of a strong black candlestick.

I am absolutely convinced this we will be bought out before too long. I believe MC struggled to keep his impatience completely in check. I reckon Regent bought in on the basis of a short term holding not a long one. They knew what they were buying into and even at 160p, they considered it an investment worth taking a risk with. All opinion but a very strong one. Will "I feel it in my water" cut the mustard here? Probably not but its all I've got to go on ...apart from the rapidly improving fundamentals.

From Jibbo on LSE Headed Revised Fundamentals

1. There are only 37.87 million shares in issue. The M'Cap is just £41.6 million and is significantly discounted to the current NPV of £5.50p per share (Edison recently valued CNR at £6.14p per share). Mark Child owns more than 9% of the company so has plenty of 'skin in the game' and Regent Pacific, an investment vehicle for renowned entrepreneurs Jim Mellon and Stephen Dattels have bought 10% of the company after conducting significant due diligence. That is a significant vote of confidence.

2. CNR has 2.4 million oz of high grade gold (4.6g/t) in one location (760k oz of Indicated) and is one of very few resources of that size and grade in the world. The La India District has been increased in size by 44% to an impressive 280km2 of highly prospective land.

3. CNR currently has a 21,000m drill programme ongoing, but following Regent Pacific's investment CNR now has the funds to do considerably more (30,000m) and 3 million oz (with 1.5 million of Indicated) is certainly achievable this year if the scope of the drilling programme is enlarged. Over 15,000m has already been completed and the results should now start coming through on a regular basis - starting next week (probably). 1700m of geotechnical drilling has also been completed on the India open pit and that will hopefully improve the angles of the pit walls from 40/42 to 50/50 degrees to make them steeper, thus increasing the contained gold and improving the already excellent economics of the project further.

4. Metallurgical tests have now indicated an excellent recovery rate of 94.5%. That compares very favourably with other low cost producers such as MML 89% and AR. 90%.

5. CNR already has the biggest resource in mining friendly Nicaragua, despite the presence of B2Gold, which is well established in the country and is also highly profitable. CNR's La India district holds at least 5 million ounces, but probably a lot more and the broker Ocean Equities has suggested that although CNR already has a 2.4 million oz resource, the company has just been' chiselling at the tip of the (gold) iceberg at La India'.

6. The PEA suggested some very robust economics for the project. Based on the current resource a 152,000 oz pa mine with a life of 13 years is already possible (the largest in Nicaragua), with a POST tax NPV of £5.50 per share. High IRR of 33% and an estimated pre-production capital cost of US$180.5m for mine construction and processing construction, with a 3 year pay back period. By the end of this year those figures should be significantly enlarged and improved upon after the completion of a minimum of 21,000m of drilling (but hopefully a lot more after the recent big injection of cash and with five rigs currently on site).

Having watched the last presentation by MC I think he is going all out for a sale this year. The Company is looking very attractive and a bid could come in at anytime. I think Regent put the money in a couple of months ago so that the Company is fully funded for this year so that it is not at risk to a low bid.
Trade it if you wish but if you are out when this spikes up you will probably regret it.
