On the premise that there was no good reason why this stock halved from over £2,I suppose that there's no good reason why the price shouldn't now double.Presuming ,of course ,gold doesn't go totally out of fashion.

Not sure Sky, my wild guess would be around the £1 mark
We may see some sideways movement after this rally
The price of gold bullion will come into the equation as well of course

Valuation: 614p/share
We value the PEA schedule, assuming 100% debt funding (no equity dilution) with
an NPV 10% of £215m, or 569p/share (previous valuation £203m), based on
Edison's long-term gold price forecast of US$1,676/oz and a total asset value of
£232m, or 614p/share. This illustrates the massive value discount the market
currently applies to exploration companies. The open-pit option and further
resource upgrades will be value drivers, both of which should be evident in 2013.

Edison Research is paid by companies to churn out research so it is not exactly impartial. None the less for uber-posh analyst Charlie Gibson to claim that a stock trading at 96p is in fact worth 614p per share is a bit of a big call.

Charlie writes:
Condor (CNR) now has sufficient cash to complete planned work programmes to significantly further increase resource and production targets around historic high-grade gold mining zones and to move the La India project further through the feasibility process. The recent share weakness against the background of exploration sector underperformance leaves it at a discount that does not reflect the substantive potential of the assets.

Funded exploration should add value In March 2013, Condor raised £7m in equity to fund exploration and advance the feasibility study process. The 2013 objective is now to establish 1.0Moz to 1.3Moz 'indicated' category, open-pit resources, which could be able to support a low-cost production rate in years one to five of between 110,000 and 130,000oz pa, to be incorporated in a PFS as a more robust project with lower start-up capital costs.

Valuation: 614p/share We value the PEA schedule, assuming 100% debt funding (no equity dilution) with an NPV 10% of £215m, or 569p/share (previous valuation £203m), based on Edison's long-term gold price forecast of US$1,676/oz and a total asset value of £232m, or 614p/share. It will go up quicker on todays evidence. Anyone able to post the Edison article. Nothing we don\'t know regarding/should find surprising re:the valuation, but would be interested to know their workings behind it.
