judging by recent trades I would guess the spread is actually 159p -162p...though the Bid has just moved to 160p

Why the permanently wide spread? Has anyone had any success trading within it?

Specific Gravity (Density) of the gold bearing rock. (2.5 tonnes per cu metre). The SRK NI 43-101 Report suggested that this be reduced to 2.5 from the 2.6 previously used (which was the commonly used density of rhyolite).

Volume in cu metres x density (Specific Gravity) = weight in (metric) tonnes x grade in gm/t = total gold in grammes/31.1034768 (grammes in 1 troy oz) = total troy oz. The 50% is "say half of the structure contains gold".

As someone said, may take a little time for its signifigance to hit home.
Brillant bit of news.

This news has been released because it is considered to be market significant, the market has once again failed to comprehend that significance. What utter idiots.

V1d,

In your calculation what does the '2.5' represent?

Thanks, V1D, quite a curious RNS and I hope your last sentence is prescient.

Interesting -

They confirm that they have potentially found the centre of the La India goldfield. The geological structure (bounded by existing and mapped veins to the south west and north east) is 1,200m x 500m (so far).

Earlier drilling on this "Central Breccia" has shown that gold exists to depths greater than 100m and at grades up to 4.26g/t.

If we were to say that 50% of the structure contained gold to 2g/t, we are looking at (1,200 x 500 x 100 x 2.5 x 50% x 2)/31.1034768 oz = 4.8 Million ounces in one big pit. Only potential yet, but worth more than a desultory "so what" from the market, I think!!

Maybe most punters IIs are still on holiday and the implications will register later.

If the structure is such that the gold contained is more diffused and less veiny or nuggety, it means that drilling can be on a wider wire-frame than 50m centres to prove ounces to the Indicated category.

A potential company-changer, and under the radar again!

Mark has a finite amount of time to deal with smaller shareholder questions. There are 60 employees now, and field issues sometimes have to be resolved by him. Much of the day to day supervision is done by Luc English and the other senior managers. Mark also spends a lot of time working with MEM, B2G, the NomAd, analysts, conferences and dealing with enquiries from others in the gold industry. It's a lot for one person to do (MC is almost a single point of failure in my mind- but I've always assumed JM would step in if there was a problem). Mark often gives pretty short shrift to people who ask naive or accusatory questions about the share price.

having had many conversations with mark i agree that the comments made are typical of mark. he always says with his stake he has an interest in raising the share price.

I am sure the odd email to him now and again is hardly going to stop him from carrying out his duties!!! A shareholder owns part of the company...he/she should be allowed (within reason!) to ask any question/s they like.

Or better still why not leave MC to get on with his work and not be tormented by pesky shareholders

Any relevant information will be posted through the normal channels

To be honest having corresponded with MC on a few occasions, it does look like his style. He's perfectly amenable and communicative, why not email him yourselves and ask the questions you feel important if you have doubts about this reply.

LSE posters playing the clown again

A supposed reply from MC , really the lengths some people will go to .

Probably written by someone on a large T trade position about to lose thier shirt !

Would MC really use this tone in an email ?

Patrick,

if you have been a shareholder for a long time then you will be making a significant amount of money. many shareholders have doubled their money this year. Taking the all time high and today's close is a childish way to make your point.

We operate in a market place and not a vaccum. The majority of junior explorers are off 50% to 70%. the gold price has been weak of late, falling beneath its 200 day moving average. The relative strength of Condor's share price is very strong.

I have also explained that there is no point producing a PEA 1, 2, 3, 4. A PEA with a second open pit will add significant value and a much higher NPV.

I will release the PEA when i think its right and certainly won't provide inside information . After all with 10% of the shares, i have much more at stake than you. My sole object is to drive a higher share price over the next 2 years.

Regards

Hold both but weakness here surprises me as does the exponential rise in Boabab.Maybe 2013 will be kinder to junior resource stocks in general but that's not what a number of pundits are saying. Here's hoping.

SG after I saw that article yesterday I contacted Mr Moriarty, he'd not heard of CNR previously as he focuses upon US/Canadian listings. He has now though and he's IMPRESSED! He's suggested B2 Gold as a potential suitor although I'm not so sure in view of the previous dealings.

From a purely technical point of view, the project has legs. Mining has taken place in this region since the 1890s when gold was first discovered in veins at the surface. A Brazilian company named CPRM started work on the project in 1984. CPRM completed a detailed VLF-em geophysical survey, trenching and channel sampling along with a diamond drill program in order to do a pre-feasibility. Their non-43-101 historic resource showed 1.4 million ounces of gold and 3 million ounces of silver at grades of 4.96 g/t gold and 8.33 g/t silver. This isn't a marginal deposit. It has substance.
