This must be looking good. Reported elsewhere that the Macquarie Bank "overhang" has gone, so nothing to stop next upward movement IMO.
Just need bullish PEA now, which is due before the end of November if others have got timing right. Whatever, can't be long.

Thanks DrR. Macquarie selling put the only doubt I had about the potential of CNR. I mean who wouldn't want to be invested in a 'world-class multiple open pit project with excellent commercial prospects'.

The Macquarie small mining fund the CNR shares were held in has been showing a sizeable loss for a while. Macquarie Bank made the decision to close the fund down completely and be less active in the space going forward. Obviously Condor has done well (operationally) over the period Macquarie have held the shares, and I understand they were very pleased when the La India property turned out to be a world-class multiple open pit project with excellent commercial prospects. However they have made a decision about the sector and one fund in particular as much as anything else. The sale has been on the cards for some time.

Macquarie Bank
I asked about the progress being made by Macquarie in disposing of their holding. They had £3 million worth of shares at £1.80 to dispose of, and the
large trades which have been appearing from time to time have all been at or very close to £1.80.

The reply to me is that when the sale was announced, they went just below 3% e.g. to 2.9% and the 2.9% have taken a couple of weeks to sell in the market, purchased to the best of my knowledge by institutional shareholders. Confirmation was received on Friday last week that Macquarie have now disposed of all of their holding.

It is really positive that £3 million worth of Condor shares has been sold into the market at £1.80 and yet the share price has held steady. - and all this in the face of strong headwinds from general market sentiment, Eurozone problems, the US Fiscal Cliff and so on.

Now this overhang has been removed hopefully the shares can move higher.

Condor Gold (CNR)

Nicaragua-focused Condor Gold took the Alternative Investment Market by storm this summer with a near 150 per cent share price rise from July to September. Drilling on its 100 per cent-owned La India gold project returned some remarkable high-grade gold intersections, including 12.2 metres averaging 35 grams gold per tonne starting from a down-hole depth of 173 metres. Indeed, the drilling helped propel total resources at the project to 2.37m ounces averaging a stellar 4.6 grams gold, with about 1m ounces located in an potential open pit and 1.4m ounces better exploited via underground mining. Condor began another 7,000-metre drill program in November using three rigs, looking to prove up ounces inbetween and along strike of existing open-pit zones. A preliminary economic assessment for the project is also currently under way. Last IC view: None.

Condor Gold - Key Criteria

The Big Picture Epithermal gold-silver vein deposit, with two large but narrow veins demonstrating good continuity
Grade Very high, averaging 4.7 grams per tonne gold-equivalent
Size Still small to mid-sized, but growing quickly
Metallurgy Early results suggest good recoveries of over 90 per cent using a combination of gravity concentration followed by cyanidation
Waste vs Ore No definitive data as of yet, but analysts from Edison say the topography of the area supports low stripping ratios for open pits
Location Major paved highway and power line runs through the project area
Politics and permitting Fairly mining-friendly
Stakeholders Artisanal mining hotspot but haven't heard of any problems so far
Management Heavy on the financial experience but seems very competent so far
Financing Good access to markets, just raised £4.2m from institutional investors

Thanks SG - good spot! - I don't usually monitor stochastics, but I do check RSI for entry points, and that tells a similar story Our last big leg up came just after RSI (14) drifted down to 50. The current RSI is just a smidge above 50. I'm already quite heavy here but, armed with that chart info, am contemplating a top-up.

Now that is interesting SG.Two swallows don't necessarily make a summer but those last two bounces with similar 'shapes' do seem to suggest a big bounce is on the cards.Well spotted!!
