Ross Beatty knew why he sold 3 or 4 years ago (I cannot remember the exact date, but it’s a few years ago already). Surely some historic drilling data is valuable, but it doesn’t solve the many other problems with building a mine.

I think back then there was an internal fight between Ross and Jim how to move the company forward (so believe Ross already wanted to sell back then), whereas Jim wanted to develop himself and at the end Ross left and sold his shares.

There is nothing in this report to suggest CNR is allowing many months before completion nor does it contain any comments regarding the Government wishes to have Chinese investment or that Calibre is not to bid.
We are aware of Chinese interest from comments made by Mark and we know the Chinese are keen to invest in Nicaragua but there is nothing relating to that in what is purely a geological document. They do give the history of mining at La India which first started over 100 years ago until 1956 since when just artesian miners. This is important because when I was watching a recent discussion with Ross Beatty ( a previous 3%+ shareholder in CNR) he was commenting on things to look for with Junior miners. He said a site where there was previous evidence of successful gold mining was a very big plus.

Condorforever posted in the LSE a link to a CNR’s geotechnical report targeting Chinese investors. It is dated Jan 2024.

Imho This article suggests:
- Cnr is allowing for some more months before completion.

- The government wishes Chinese investment and Calibre not to bid

Hence, the drop in the sp

It was better to sell at 25 than at 15, so hopefully some of the „master investors“ on this BB fully committed to the title Jim gave them and limited their losses.

Still a bit sad to see the peaks of the twitches getting lower and lower. It’s like plastic surgery, even 888 just cannot defy gravity.

I heard in my village that Jim is currently setting up a consulting contract with a former french foreign legionnaire. Apparently he stays away from Gurkhas since a while.

The consultancy fee is still under negotiation, it seems it will also depend a bit on the outcome of the sale of the La India asset.

Besides that, no other significant news from my village

The Sale of Assets a reminder of Progress
I think it might be useful to focus our minds on where we are by reminding ourselves what was said in the RNS on 5th December:

“ Jim Mellon, Chairman of Condor Gold, commented:

"I continue to be impressed with the asset sale process. We are very aware of the value of our assets and will maximise value for all shareholders. My investment of a further £1M is designed to ensure sufficient financial runway during the sales process until a desired price is achieved."

Mark Child, CEO of Condor Gold Commented:

"Wholly owned, fully permitted, construction ready gold mines with potential production of 150,000 oz gold per annum, in major Gold Districts, with the land and a new SAG Mill package purchased and a construction period of only 18 months are rare. To date there are eight companies under NDAs, five non-binding offers received and three site visits completed. Companies under NDAs have access to a virtual data room, which includes all drill data, technical studies to Feasibility Study level, details of permits to construct and operate a mine and financial models. Although none of the non-binding offers have progressed to firm proposals to date, the Company is in advanced discussions with 2 gold producers The sales process is taking longer than anticipated, but the Board is anticipating that further progress will be made in the New Year. Investors will be updated in due course."

The current strength of the gold price can only be helpful to the advanced discussions with 2 gold producers.
