book5 - Thanks for that. I suppose you could say that all the time MC knew nothing was likely to happen, tales/hope had to be invented to maintain the rationale for the company's continuance, and more importantly for him, his remuneration.

Yes, we must hope that world-wide events move in our favour so that sanctions are more likely to be lifted. I haven't looked to see what age this Ortega is, but he must be getting on and a new boss is likely to have his own agenda.

On the other hand, it's equally likely that the CNR board will have to go, one way or another for anything to get done. Possibly because of local history and the inevitable tensions created over the years, maybe only a new broom can sweep clean here, I haven't a clue as to the true long-standing relationship between the locals and CNR, but I don't feel confident after such a long time has elapsed.

Corrientes

Imho:
- main problem at the moment are the sanctions.
- however, main reason for prolong decline was bcs it suited JM who wanted to keep issuing new shares rather than a doing a Toll deal, delays were welcome in the grand scheme of things. All to increase the % of the company he owns.

All previous capital raises, except last one, were well supported by JM's & MC's friends who kept increasing the % of the company the own at progressively lower prices, so much so we were never invited to take part. However after sanctions this changed bcs risk has increased so much

There have been a bit of porkies / spin from MC (info about large number of squatter miners was never given, how wonderful our wages are...., and how much we are loved by the miners..., how small and insignificant the coop land is), but he was trusted by the investors that participated in capital raises (excluding the last one) for a reason, they probably know him and believe he is a decent person to follow his lead.

lets see what our Canadian peers do today, we need that the sanctions are lifted asap

Good post Corrientes which is based on reason and logic.People who are saying a lowball offer would be taken seriously are clearly bashing to an agenda.

However you cannot win an argument against an idiot so even trying to do so is pointless especially when that idiot has an agenda.

So the value of CNR is grossly down to sentiment concerning Nicaragua, rather than any normal mining fundamentals. This automatically ensures that it must have a complementary and ridiculously low valuation in those circumstances.

As everything in life goes in cycles, and there's now little probability that Russia or China (who've now got their own massive problems) will come to the aid of Ortega viz Nicaragua, he'll be seeing the writing on the wall and will prepare for it if he's bright enough. Despite arguments to the contrary by the Left, USA continues to attract the best brains, so ensuring it remains the most powerful nation on Earth. There's absolutely no sign this will stop any time soon and supposed financial catastrophes are just remote possibilities.

I know little about mining, but recognise that confidence, sentiment and timing is what's it's all about at the end of the day, and make no mistake CNR, based on truthful professional submissions will have its day, unless short term Board stupidity, greed or need, prevails.

What is remarkable is the decline of the price of natural gas
Russia is screwed , Nicaraguan government is probably of the opinion is not worthy to carry on the alignment with Russia and further upset the USA

According to this article
Daniel Ortega wants to negotiate with Usa, something similar as what Venezuela is doing…
His wife, Rosario Murillo does not want to negotiate till sanctions are lifted
Murillo lied about real reason why Ortega visited his brother, article suggests visit was to speak about negotiations with the usa

Also From yesterday article ( see previous post):
Ortega is very old and forgot in what year we are when spoke in public

Let’s see if Nicaragua miners share prices recover

Imho We should start a toll mining asap and save enough money to mine it ourselves, in the mid time this government should fall, both leaders are really old and currently there are some public arguments between them.

A ray of hope

Let’s pray that Daniel Ortega frees all political prisoners , implement free elections and abides by the result. He needs to negotiate immunity for his crimes.

For a better 2023

BahamasOil - Thanks -
" market capitalization of B2Gold Corp. currently standing at about $3.87 billion Amex valuation. ,"

So CNR at current market cap would almost be a rounding error in their books. If there is any value in CNR B2G would have a lit of awareness of a possible potential.
