11/3/2006 13:39 | Just to comment further on recent trades, there have been a few sales for relatively small amounts that have gone through 1p below the bid price over the last week or so: 03/03/06 20,000 @13.5p (£2,700) 06/03/06 11,200 @13.5p (£1,512) 06/03/06 15,000 @13.5p (£2,025) 09/03/06 12,450 @13.5p (£1,681) 10/03/06 50,000 @10.0p (£5,000) Now they may well have been completely innocent trades, but it does strike me as odd that people would be willing to accept such a poor price (~10% discount) to sell relatively small amounts, unless they were desperately keen to do so. 11/3/2006 13:17 | Looking back briefly over past results, the company does not appear to have made a profit since the April 2003 year-end figures until its 2 most recent results announcements, which can no longer be trusted following yesterday's Trading Statement. So unfortunately, I don't see how a company that effectively has consistently failed to make a profit for the last 3 years can be considered a good investment, regardless of the "sales to price ratio" or any other metric that people decide to trot out. Personally I always remained sceptical of the company's sudden turnaround in fortunes. I don't know whether that was due to instinct from the experience of similar situations in the past or just sheer luck, but whichever I'm obviously glad that I passed over the shares and I sympathise with those shareholders that were taken in. It will be interesting to see what action if any is taken in light of the fact that the company recently raised £2m in a placing, presumably on the strength of the overstated profit figures - without that cash injection, the company may well have become insolvent by now. Does anybody know which auditors the company used for its last annual accounts? Alex | alexandrews
10/3/2006 22:14 | A good buying opportunity as the market has over-reacted. | leetholdings
10/3/2006 21:06 | A bad day but where does it go now, well firstly on the positive side I assume the discovery is thanks to the new finance director, so at least we don't have wait for the FD to be sacked and find a new one then be told its worse than we thought. The new mans already there. Conder products are trading strongly and vikoma is positive, plus restated turnover is 30 million so its not stopped growing. That's a good sales to price ratio, and could be a buying opportunity. That's as positive as I can be, given the loss on 100K shares. | wowy
10/3/2006 16:39 | only two weeks to go, so cashing in on investor's nervouseness | hard work

10/3/2006 15:42 | Pleased I was only watching from the side lines | captainfatcat
10/3/2006 15:33 | Hmmm... and look at the sales that went through this morning, including a 50K one at 1p below the bid. Of course, I'm not trying to imply that there was any insider dealing or anything... Alex | alexandrews |
